If you take away the homecooking the refs gave UWGB when we played them, they weren't all that impressive. Don't get me wrong, they are a good team, but they are definitely beatable. I think we will win the rematch at the Nutter Center. I am much more worried about UWM than UWGB.

bballraider, thanks for the updates. I felt like I was at the game. Even though G-B won this score still surprises me. CSU could have won at G-B. Does this take some of the shine off our near miss at G-B? I personally don't think so but, wow, I still can't believe CSU gave them a game.

Cleveland State played a pretty good game. The UWGB announcers thought they were the best 4-8 team they had ever seen. CSU shot over 55% for the game. Cleveland State didn't hit their FTs down the stretch they went 12-18 with Redell who had made 19 straight prior to this game, missing 3 of those. But the main reason CSU lost was 3pt defense, UWGB made 7 more 3s than CSU and shot almost 60% from 3. All the other stats were fairly even, both teams had 16 turnovers, many were unforced. I think the CSU game and our game show that UWGB is very beatable if you play well in ALL the aspects of the game. UWGB does not beat themselves, but they can be beaten. All that needs done is playing well, not great, but well in ALL phases of the game, including defense (guarding the 3pt arc), making FTs and not committing turnovers. Had we made our FTs we could have won, and had CSU cut down there turnovers, played just a little better perimeter defense or hit their FTs they too could have won.

UWM 65 YSU 42
I'll say it again, we better not lose at YSU.
