6-4 Freshman Joe Crawford is transferring from UK. He was a former teammate of onetime WSU recruit Marcus Stout. It will be interesting to see if Coach B has any interest in the one time McDonald's All-American. Here is the ESPN article: sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=1964059

Early speculation on UK, Michigan, and Detroit's message boards is that Crawford is going to transfer to Detroit. I hate thinking about playing them over the next few seasons with 2 McDonald All Americans in their lineup.

I actually hope Detroit does get Crawford, It would certainly help the Horizon League non-conference. Also by the time Crawford is eligible to play, our sophomores will be seniors and are frosh will be juniors, show we should be a very very good team. What great matchups that would be between us and Detroit.

I don't think it would really help the HL in nonconference since Crawford wouldn't be eligible to start playing until after the end of fall quarter. Cotton transferred last year at midseason and had to sit out until after fall quarter was over this year. Most of the nonconference will be played by then. I think their situations will be the same, unless I am missing something.

Big D, I am talking about the following year non-conference 2006-7 when DaShaun, and Drew for WSU, and Cotton for Detroit will be seniors.
