I saw over at RR where Big D posted some team stats and it motivated me to go look at the HL team stats. After each catagory I wrote some thoughts on what stood out to me.

1.Butler.............. 12 143 197 .726
2.Cleveland State..... 12 171 242 .707
3.Loyola.............. 14 140 203 .690
4.UW-Green Bay........ 14 204 296 .689
5.UIC................. 14 195 292 .668
6.Wright State........ 15 196 294 .667
7.UW-Milwaukee........ 13 179 272 .658
8.Youngstown State.... 14 175 272 .643
9.Detroit............. 13 139 228 .610
Honestly, I am shocked that we are even 6th in the HL in FT's. To think that their are 3 teams that shoot them worse than us is hard to believe. Hopefully some of the guys will start knocking them down and then confidence will spread over the team as a whole. Some thing positive is that we have attempted the most FT's in the HL at 294 attempts.

8.UIC................. 14 326 789 .413
9.Youngstown State.... 14 304 750 .405
I was thrilled to see that we lead the HL in FG PCT. This means that we are taking good shots and higher percentage shots. I do think we have a balanced attack as far as and inside/outside scoring goes.
I was a bit surprised to see UWM as low as 6th. Apparently they struggle from the field.

9.Cleveland State..... 12 309 650 .475
I can live with holding a team too .427 %. Traditionally G-B & Butler are at the top along with Detroit. If you solid defensively you allow yourself to win most games. Good defense can make up for and off night on offense.

7.Cleveland State..... 12 80 258 .310
8.Detroit............. 13 55 178 .309
9.UIC................. 14 55 201 .274
Ok, this is the one stat that completely caught me off guard. Going into the season I thought one of our weaknesses was a lack of a perimeter game. If you would have told me that we would lead the HL after 4 games I would have bet against you. I hope we can maintain this ranking. We have 3 legitimate 3 pt shooters in Zakee, Dashaun, & Jaron.

We're 5th put .354 % isn't horrible.

7.UIC................. 14 492 35.1
8.Loyola.............. 14 524 37.4
9.Youngstown State.... 14 527 37.6
This stat brings a big ole smile to my face. To lead the HL in defensive rebounding is huge. Think about this, our leading rebounder only averages 6 rpg. We don't rely on 1 or 2 players to carry the load.
