This is a rush job so I apologize up front.
Starters based on their game against YSU.
Crone 6-6 220 F So. 5.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg Brooks 6-5 220 F So. 7.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg Ligon 6-7 240 F So. 1.7 ppg Graves 6-1 155 G Fr. 10.9 ppg, 34 % 3 PCT, 94 % FT Sheets 6-0 170 G Jr. 9.5 ppg, 4.6 apg
Polk 6-6 210 F Jr. 10.8 ppg, 3.9 rpg Horan 6-3 190 G Jr. 10.3 ppg, 42 % 3 PCT Smalligan 6-11 240 C So. 6.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg
Polk started most of their games but was replaced by Brooks against YSU. For some reason Ligon starts put hardly plays. In his last 3 games Ligon has played 4, 6, & 8 minutes. He doesn't get into foul trouble so who knows. Maybe he just jumps center to start the game? Smalligan has started some as well.
We are to inconsistent so I can't even begin to predict what might happen this Saturday.
It's good to be back after traveling all week.

I think Ligon is still recovering from knee surgery from this past offseason. I don't think he has been 100% all season.

(1/21/05)--The Butler Bulldogs look to reach the .500 mark both overall and in the Horizon League when they host the Wright State Raiders at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler leads the all-time series 14-8 and has won 10 of the past 14 meetings, but the Raiders won both games against the Bulldogs a year ago. Head coach Paul Biancardi is in his second season at Wright State, compiling a 22-23 record and earning HL Coach of the Year honors in his first year. For the second straight year, his roster is comprised primarily of freshmen and sophomores, while the team's only junior and senior this season are each in their first year of competition at WSU. Leading the way for the Raiders is 6-0 sophomore guard DaShaun Wood, who leads the team in scoring (14.9 ppg), minutes (36.6 mpg), assists (3.9 apg), and steals (1.9 spg). He also pulls down 5.6 rpg and is shooting 50% overall and 37% from three-point range. Joining him in the Raider backcourt is 6-5 sophomore guard Zakee Boyd, averaging 12.3 ppg and 3.2 rpg. He is the team's top three-point shooter, leading the squad with 39 three-pointers and connecting at a 39% clip, and is also their best free throw shooter at 81%. 6-7 sophomore forward Drew Burleson is averaging 10.7 ppg and 4.4 rpg. Zach Williams, a 6-7 senior forward who transferred to WSU from Ohio State, leads the team in rebounding at 5.9 rpg to go along with 10.1 ppg and 2.5 apg. He is also the team's top shot blocker with eight. The fifth starter is 6-6 freshman wing Everett Spencer, who averages 6.6 ppg and 4.9 rpg. The leading scorer off WSU's bench is 6-2 junior college transfer guard Jaron Taylor, averaging 3.8 ppg and 1.9 rpg. Also seeing minutes in reserve for the Raiders are 6-8 freshman forward Jordan Pleiman (3.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 54% FG), 6-2 freshman guard Lorenzo Shine (1.5 ppg), and 6-7 freshman forward Parysh Munroe (1.0 ppg, 1.1 rpg). The Raiders have been up and down this season, having put together back-to-back wins just once. They do have one of the league's top talents in Wood, who can do just about anything and do it well. The Raiders aren't very deep, but their top four players all averaging double figures in scoring and complement one another well. The Bulldogs will need to continue to play solid defense and take advantage of a team that averages over 15 turnovers per contest. Rebounding will be another area of focus for Butler, as the Raiders are second in the HL in rebounding margin, and all five players on the floor for WSU will hit the boards hard. Offensively, the Bulldogs need to make sure to establish an inside presence, be willing to drive to the basket when the opportunity presents itself, and keep the ball moving. Game time is Saturday, January 22, at 2:00 p.m. www.geocities.com/rueth/bupreviewwsu.htm

I was looking through Butler's team stats and found some interesting numbers.
- 66.4 PPG - .454 FG PCT - .347 3 FG PCT - Butler teams of the past shot a much higher %. - .726 FT - If it comes down to FT's we're in trouble. - 10.1 TO - They play a slow down game but still this is a decent number. I wish we were at 10 TO's a game. - -5.5 RPG MARGIN - This is one area where we have a big advantage on the Bulldogs.
To me the keys to the game will be our perimeter defense can we make at least 65% on our FT's.
