The Raiders vs. Pirates sounds interesting.

I know some people won't be happy about this happening. But I am happy for the seniors to get another chance to possibly win a tournament. I just hope they win Tuesday ans we get a chance to see them again in the Nutt House.

On paper we should beat ECU, but in a common opponent, they did take care of NCA&T easily

ECU has 4 wins over non-Division 1 teams and another 6 against teams with RPI's of 297 or worse. Since they apparently have as much trouble scheduling good teams as we do maybe we should play a home and home series against them next year instead of playing in the CIT.

That Wikipedia link is actually pretty good, shows who's accepted bids, shows 2013-14 season info if you click on a team, etc.

Would agree. VMI, Murray St, and IPFW are teams I don't want to play. Also, still waiting on 12 teams to commit apparently. Wonder if a team like CSU will be in the mix.

At least we are possibly going to play some better RPI teams than are OOC schedule was except for VMI. They are not far behind us. We should welcome competition like Murray St and IPFW not shy away from it.

We should not be worried about any team in this field. We may lose but we can play with any of them.

Agreed, can't fear any team in this tourne. I feel like if we came out of the gates to open the season the way we finished we would have won 4-5 more games easily. We actually would have been considered in the NIT. Lets support the decision to keep playing and build on next year by going out strong.

Wondering from the DDN article which of the five seniors wasn't "jumping" out of the chair. I still don't think playing in this is wise...just too much of a high-risk, low-reward as compared to last year and the CBI. Also, it's clear he's going to still ride the seniors...not expecting a lot of minutes for JT, Sledge, or the Freshman as has been the case lately.
But I will say the teams in the CIT this year seems better than I remember, at least from last year. Wolf41 is spot on...the best thing from this is that it is forcing our team to play a better level of OOC competition than they typically have.
