01/29/2005 Loyola @ Detroit 01/29/2005 Butler @ UIC 01/29/2005 Wright State @ Cleveland State 01/29/2005 UW-Milwaukee @ UW-Green Bay
We are now at the 1/2 way mark of the HL and it is tight.
Starting from top to bottom:
1) The loser of the Loyola @ Detroit game is going to put themselves in a hole as far as contending for a slot in the top 3.
2) UIC can't afford to lose to the Bulldogs if they still have hopes of finishing high in the HL, especially on there home floor. I'd personally love to see Butler win this game because I still think UIC is more of a threat.
3) We can't afford a loss to a terrible CSU team if we want to catch G-B who's in 2nd place after eight games. I know it is on the road and it is no gimmie but we can't let down and let this one get away from us.
4) The last game is should be interesting. I can't figure GB out. They get hammered at home by Loyola and then go on the road and win at Detroit. If UWM wins they are in firm control of the league title and it would help us catch GB for 2nd place but if GB wins and we win it means we are only 1 game back in the loss column and still contending for 1st place. I'm not sure who to root for in this game?
The main thing is to take care of business and get out of Cleveland with the win.

I'll be rooting for Green Bay because assuming we win we will be in second place all by ourselves and only one game back of first place. Remember that we can then still control our own destiny plus we would be playing both first place teams ( Green Bay and UWM) at home.
Go Raiders, beat Cleveland State!!

We better watch out for CSU. They are 5-1 at home and almost knocked of a strong Kent State team. They lost by 3 to KSU.
They just crushed Butler last night, not that Butler is any good this year but they did put the screws to them.
I think they have now won 3 games in a row and have some momentum. We better come ready to play or we'll get our heads handed to us.
