I was watching Fox 45 sports and they had highlights of the St. Henry vs Minster game. They showed a kid from St. Henry beat his man off the dribble and dunk it. The sports guys says his name, which I didn't get, and then says he is 6-9. Does anybody know anything about this big kid from St. Henry? What is his name & what grade is he in? He had a nice frame on him. Not bulky but definitely not skinny.
He is from the same area as Jordan Plieman and from a school of similar size.

His name is Kurt Huelsman and he is going to be one of the top PF/C prospects in the state of Ohio next year. He already has an early list of OSU, Mich St, Xavier, UC. I would love to get him, but I think he is alittle out of our reach.

Big D, thanks for the research. It sounds like he is out of our reach at this time. To bad, a 6-9 athletic kid is tough to find.
I don't know what it is about St. Henry but they seem to grow them big up there.
Don't they have some guys playing in the NFL? I think Jim Lachey was from St. Henry.

I might be wrong but isnt' the center for BG from Coldwater just down the road from St. Henry? What grade is the kid from Coldwater in because that might play a part in Huelsmans decision.
It's a moot point here because we aren't even in the picture. Hey, ya never know, things change all the time as circumstances change.

Dayton is the leader right now for him from what I have heard. It appears he is theirs to lose unless BG recruits over him. I would be a little shocked if Huelsman doesn't end up at OSU. I don't know too many Hoyings or Huelsmans from St Henrys that don't go to OSU. WSU probably never seriously went after Huelsman. We only have 1 scholarship to give out next year (Taylors) and it looks like we are going to try to sign a SG.

RaiderFan, St. Henry can boast about 3 guys who made it to the NFL. Jim Lachey, Jeff Hartings, and Bobby Hoying. Pretty impressive for a town of 1500 people. Lachey and Hoying played for Ohio State, and Hartings went to Penn State. Hartings is currently with the Pittsburg Steelers, and I believe he was their starting center this year.
