With less than 1/2 of the conference games left to play it is shaping into a 4 team race for second place in the HL. I think UWM will hold onto first place, but second place is going to come down to UWGB (7-3), WSU (5-4), UIC (5-4), and Detroit (5-4). Here are each teams remaining HL games:
UWGB: Feb 3 @ CSU Feb 5 @ YSU Feb 12 @ Loyola Feb 14 @ UIC Feb 23 Detroit Feb 27 @ WSU
WSU Feb 2 UWM Feb 5 Loyola Feb 7 Butler Feb 10 @ Detroit Feb 16 @ YSU Feb 23 @ UIC Feb 27 UWGB
UIC Feb 5 @ UWM Feb 10 YSU Feb 12 @ CSU Feb 14 UWGB Feb 17 Loyola Feb 23 WSU Feb 26 @ Butler
Detroit Feb 3 @ YSU Feb 5 @ CSU Feb 10 WSU Feb 12 @ Butler Feb 16 CSU Feb 23 @uwgb Feb 26 YSU

a couple of thoughts about those schedules, big d. first, even though green bay is 1 game up, look at all the road games they have. i could see them losing four games easily. i think our game at uic could turn out to be really huge, maybe settling second place. udm has four road games, and i hope csu plays them as tough as they played us. interesting that the other three contenders all have to go to csu. go vikings!!!!!! these next few weeks are going to be very interesting if, and it is a big if, the raiders can play consistent, intense, urgent, high octane basketball. if we defend our turf and win 1, maybe 2 on the road, we are looking good. should be a lot of fun. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok, I'm going to try and "rationalize" the remaining schedules. I kinda laugh because the Horizon League is so unpredictable! I will ASSUME that everyone will win their HOME games and they will BEAT YSU on the road. So with these two assumptions here are the finishing records.
WSU 10-6 ( a win at YSU) remaining games: 4 home games and 3 road games UWGB 9-7 ( a win at YSU) remaining games: 1 home game and 5 road games UIC 9-7 remaining games: 4 home games and 3 road games Detroit 9-7 ( a win at YSU) remaining games: 3 home games and 4 road games.
If these two variables hold true we would finish second which would be awesome! Off course, we could lose tonight to Milwakee and the whole formula, for us any ways, is shot. We really need this win tonight to stay alive in the hunt for that elusive second or third place finish.
KFX, I agree with you that our game Feb. 12th at UIC is looming large! We both have four homes games remaining the only thing that give us the edge is that one of our road games is at Youngstown. Lets just hope we win tonight!
Go Raiders!!

Tonights game against Milwaulkee is huge for two reasons:
1., if we win it keeps in contention for the top three spots.
2., if Milwuakee ends up winning the HL or even tied with us, then this game comes into play big time as a tie breaker, and the likely hood of us ending up in a tie for one of the seeds is pretty good at this point, as all the teams are bunched together.
