Just finished reading the latest Facebook update, glad the trip to Denver went well. Good luck to Ryan in the new facility.
I have flown on small planes with the team in the past...there are only so many seats with leg room for the taller guys. Sorry Ryan's height was a little bit of a challenge.

I don't remember hearing that his recovery was being filmed for an HBO special. Hopefully that means some extra financial support for his family as part of that.

It was great seeing Ryan at a recent WSU game. He initially looked very serious, but it didn't take long for that wonderful smile to appear on his face. You've got great strength, young man. Hope to see you continue your education at WSU soon.

Just read this excellent article about Ryan. www.wcpo.com/longform/elder-high-school-graduate-ryan-custer-is-an-inspiration-to-his-family-and-the-communityI have been a long time season ticket holder, and after the season is over players call the season ticket holders and thank them for their support of the team. Last year Ryan had my name and he called me and we talked for about 15 minutes or so. (This was before the accident). We talked about a lot of different things but mostly Raider basketball, past, present and future. I was filling him in on some of the past players and games in Raider history that I remember most. He was asking me questions and I was asking him questions. I really enjoyed this conversation with him. This story sheds more light on Ryan and his future plans and especially his positive outlook on life.

Wow, this was great. It was hard to fight back the tears . Such a tragic situation but such a touching story since it happened. When you have kids like Ryan, Mark & Mike along with everybody else it's easy to understand how far we have come as a program in the last two seasons and why the sky is the limit. Love you Ryan and I will wear my b3li3v3 shirt every opportunity I get whith great pride.
