Wish him good luck to wherever he goes. He always put a 110% on the court.

a couple of thoughts on this. first, very disappointed. I think ew will be very good and would’ve played a bit g role next year. second, since ew redshirted he will lose a year of college eligibility unless he goes down to div. ii or iii. way down in the recesses of my brain I still harbor hopes of that sds player coming to the raiders. I know, I know, crazy!!!

From a basketball prospective, this move by Winchester makes no sense. He played valuable minutes this year and I'm sure his role this upcoming season would have expanded. Seems like this team can't get through an offseason without some type of drama.

I don’t think he was happy with the move to PF even though it got him on the court this year. I think he took a look at who was coming back next year and who we are bringing in and realized he was never going to get the chance to play the 3 here due to the depth we will have at the wing next year and the fact that he cannot shot from outside. He was never going to play the 3 in Nagy’s system if he can’t shoot from outside and unfortunately for him he just can’t shoot from outside. It’s a shame. I would have guessed he was going to move in front of Parker in the starting lineup next year at PF. He was a very athletic kid and could have excelled as an undersized PF. I hope he lands somewhere that works out for him.

Sorry to here that but does leave an opening if Daum doesn’t go pro or to get another point guard from JV or grad transfer.

Keith, what does sds player mean? South Dakota State--Michael Dahm--aka the dahminator. Opti Is there anything at all (some news that I’ve missed perhaps) about this kid Michael Dahm possibly coming to WSU or is this just wishful thinking?

Mike Daum is not coming to Wright State. People that keep bringing his name up are wasting their time.

Wow. The loss of Winchester is quite a kick in the nads. He showed some serious potential and a great fit to the style of play we've been running. Can't imagine what better opportunities are out there for him considering the success of our program and the opportunities he had in front of him, especially after being such a valuable contributor to the Raiders offense this past season. Wish the kid luck, but it sure would be great to figure out how to keep our kids after success. I understand them leaving in the valleys, but this team just hit the highest it's been in a decade. I guess I just don't understand. Oh well.
So now we have an open scholarship? Is that correct Big D?

I don't understand either lol Big D has a hood point, could be he won't play the position/style he wants. Will Winchester need to sit out a year?
