Please hurry with the indictments. We could be a 2 bid conference if they do.

The NCAA might be feeling the heat...and forced to grow a pair. They just announced Louisville must Vacate their 2011-12 through 2014-15 seasons...including their National Championship in 2013 and Final Four appearance in 2012. They are also being forced to repay their Tournament shares over that time period.

So without future punishment, they'll just go out and hire a big name coach and keep doing the same crap with no repercussions going forward. Like paying back that money will be difficult for UL. What a joke.

I agree with the sentiment "without future punishment" they'll just continue the same old crap. I'm not much of a fan of "vacating" wins and championships. I believe "forfeiting" should be the more appropriate term used in conjunction with the punishment. Vacating is more of a p.c. word to appease the eggheads that run our institutions of higher learning. It simply doesn't convey the seriousness of the penalty. And it's kind of Orwellian. As if Louisville removes their Final Four and National Championship Banners from the Yummy Center and all references in their media guide those years will be forever banned from our minds much less all the sports blogs and wikipedia.
That's just not reality.
That said, I have the feeling the NCAA will react to these charges now under FBI investigation much more aggressively and harshly. I don't see them having much of a choice. For their own livelihood and sake of the NCAA, as an organization going forward, they now need to address these known issues in a more timely manner and with serious consequences.
I'm guessing the UofL "penalty" is just the tip of the ice burg.

So, for those relatively new and trying to follow along at home to the "sex scandal" at U of L you should differentiate between which scandal. The one where Slick Rick was caught pounding his mistress on a table after hours at a downtown L'ville restaurant? Or the one where Slick Rick was caught off guard, and sickened by the news, one of his assistants was paying "high-class" hookers to give a warm howdy to top-50 recruits during their visit to the 'ville?

Please hurry with the indictments. We could be a 2 bid conference if they do. I don't want Wright State or any other HL program to be admitted into any major tournament simply due to a "technicality". That would be a joke in my opinion!

A little sarcasm there. Of course we want it to be in the NCAA on merit. On the other hand why would it be fair too let all these schools that paid players get in without us being allowed to pay 3,4 and 5 star players to come to WSU to get in. Everyone is so used to the idea of paying players that we think it’s normal to pay players behind closed doors to play ball for the power 5. When evidently the NCAA thought it was ok to wink and nod about all the kickbacks til the FBI got involved.

I don't believe it is, but based on what I've seen in the public domain I'm on the outside with that belief. The talking heads and bloggers on ESPN filled up last evening and night airtime with just how unfair it would be to the kids at L'ville, Miami, USC, etc., etc, if their programs were banned. They went on and on just how unfair it would be by adults to punish 17-18-19 year-old men. They talked as if these young men where simply just innocent bystanders caught up in the twirling mess of adults. Some probably were--like the walk on. These young men are old enough to earn a drivers license, vote, by a gun, volunteer and commit 4 years to the military, but they don't know a $50K hand shake is wrong? They don't know spending a night with an escort is wrong? Give my a frickin' break! That's pretty much how ESPN described today's younger generation. If that's the type of product, we as a society are putting out, then shame on us.

Looks like we'll be a one seed going head to head with 16 seed Cleveland State in a third matchup on the year. The tie-breaker of all tiebreakers!

LOL. This is great maybe this will help us recruit better with the big boys a little. We don’t evidently have 50k laying around to buy a Mercedes for recruits to drive around in.

Sean Miller may be looking at jail time unless he cooperates. If he only gets probation he should be thankful.
