According to Lunardi, WSU would be #15 seed and play #2 Purdue in Detroit. Obviously, who knows how likely that matchup, seed, or location is. My question is this, and it is mainly for fun... Would you rather see WSU be involved in the first round play-in games in Dayton against a #16 seed for a chance to face #1 or #2 overall....or would you rather see WSU land a 2/15 matchup at a more distant location? Personally, and this is only because WSU is in Dayton, I think the idea of WSU being involved in that play-in game would be amazing and we would have a much higher probability of winning it. Anyway, just thought this would be a fun discussion topic. But first, we must win tonight. |

We're not going to be a 16 seed. That's out of the question. We'll be a 25 win team with a sub-100 RPI. Not going to happen. WSU will be a 13/14/15 depending on how the chips fall in other tournaments. Hopefully we'll play in Detroit or Pittsburgh where enough Raider fans can go. Bottom line is, there are crappier teams and crappier conferences who are putting in crappy teams. Now, if CSU wins this league...they'll likely be a 16, and might be playing in Dayton.

Wright State will be a #15 seed if we win tonight. Palm also has us as a #15 seed playing in Detroit, but vs. UC.
If Cleveland State wins tonight they could very well be in the play-in games at UD. There are only 6 crappier conferences than the Horizon Lecrone and if chalk holds in those tournaments CSU would have the worst RPI of any of those winners.

Sorry, I was not clear, I know that we will not be a #16 seed, it was more of a hypothetical. *If* you had the choice of the two (#16 seed play-in in Dayton or #15 seed non play-in elsewhere), which would you prefer?

No harm in talking hypotheticals  We are all well aware of our history in the 'ship, so I don't think anyone is assuming it's a done deal. Plus, this is a message board, isn't this the point? |

i'm too lazy to look it up. does anyone know WSU's record in the conference tourney championship games. i know they have won two and lost at least 4 or 5. please help. 1-5 in the Horizon League |

Stopped by to congratulate y'all on your win, but this thread caught my interest. Just by eyeballing it, you'll probably be a 14-seed when the smoke clears. It's true that if all the remaining favorites win their one-bid conferences, you're likely to be a 15, but it's even more likely that at least a couple of the favorites above you will lose out to lower teams which should push you up a seed line. Just my two cents. Good luck in the tournament.

Everything broke right for us to host that game and I still can't believe we lost it. Last night took some of the edge off though |
