Since the field was expanded to 64 (now 68) in 1985 54% of the time a #14 seed has beaten a #3 seed. To be exact, 18 of the last 33 years a #14 seed has gone on to advance.

Well, that gives me a little hope. Wright State's thin rotation and lack of offense at times worries me. But hey, that is why they play the game, anything can happen. Go Raiders!!

The 14 seeds have beaten the 3 seeds 21 times since 1986. The last time was in 2016 when Stephen F Austin defeated West Virginia 70-56. I like this matchup playing Tennesse on a neutral court in Dallas at 11:40 am local time. Come on Raiders! Make it 22 times this year!

This is the best shot for a first round game we could get being 14 seed. Hopefully that Kentucky game was being scrutinized really carefully for weaknesses. We are a team of one compared to a lot of individual players on Tennessee.

I was going to call him out for excluding WSU but saw others already did. Then read all the comments from people saying "don't you have work to do instead of watching basketball?" Twitter is the best - I can't believe its free. Endless entertainment. Speaking of reason to B3li3ve...

I'm curious as to know everyone's feeling about our chances of an upset going into Thursday compared to '07. What are your thoughts and why?

I think we have a reasonable expectation of an upset. In ‘07 Pittsburgh had a tremendous advantage with inside game. It won’t be that way this year. We match better xcept for bench strength. But these guys are used to playing more minutes and playing hard. We need to have a good inside-outside game. If Hall, Hughes and Cole can make outside shots to take some defensive pressure off Grant, we will do well. Parker can help inside by moving to the basket when Love gets the ball. Guess we will see which team’s fat lady will be singing to the other team. I will remain optimistic until no hope.
