Larry Hunter who has many ties to the area via Wittenberg and Ohio University had a massive stroke over the weekend and is reportedly on life-support. He's 68. Larry made Wittenberg a D III National Powerhouse and won a National Championship in 1977 before moving on in 1989 to lead Ohio University for 12 seasons. Over his career Larry compiled a 7-4 record vs Wright State (1-0 Wittenberg; 6-2 OU; 0-2 Western Carolina). Larry retired at the end of this past season from Western Carolina and ranks #51 with the most wins as a college basketball coach.
