Still hope! Man this team just doesn't have it together this year yet. I think they are playing a little tougher schedule this year, but they don't look like the favorite to win the league right now...Loudon love seems to be struggling a bit this year to me.

Another day, another loss away from home. Gotta figure this out before conference time. I couldn’t watch the entire game but what I saw makes me think we lost a game we should have and were in a position to close out.

Yeah they could have won. Indiana Stats looked decent. Middle of the pack Missouri valley team. I think that's about where Wsu would be in the mvc. Hasn't really worked for Valpo yet. 10 turnovers from Love and Hughes hurt the Raiders. It will be interesting to see how this team evolves throughout the year. Cole Gentry is fun to watch.

I see 2 real issues with this team right now:
1) Coaching- Nagy is used to playing a veteran team. He likes to let them play and learn from mistakes. He believes it makes them better as the year goes on. Problem with that is we don't have good senior leadership on this team. They aren't figuring it out on their own. You cannot wait until halftime to tell your team to start taking the ball inside. We didn't shoot a FT in the first half. We got them into foul trouble pretty quick in the second half. If we would have played that way the whole game it would have been a completely different second half. They would have had guys in foul trouble all game. They didn't so they could be aggressive at the end of the game. We had guys in foul trouble so we couldn't. That makes a big difference and with 1 early timeout in the game Nagy could have made that adjustment instead of waiting until halftime.
2) Aggressiveness- it was pointed out above already so I'm not going to rehash it much here. We aren't playing like the team picked to win the HL. We look scared on offense and are way to happy to settle for a 3 then to try to move the ball around and find an inside shot.

It may just be me, but Love has not been a strong player in last few games. He has missed a lot of lay ups by shooting to strong. He also had 6 TO’s.

My preseason hype was high but lately I just cannot see much of anything on this team that would have had so many people voting us as preseason conference champs. Maybe the HL really is that bad this year that we can plow right through but the way this team looks right now I still wouldn’t count on it.

Not sure what's going on but he has had a rough start. Sure stats may look good but he's missing too many easy baskets and is careless with the ball. Hope he is OK and figures it out.

Not having Winchester and Hall is the real reason this team is struggling. Now Vest and Potter are part of the 7 man rotation. Vest is a D2 talent and Potter is a true Freshman. I believe Potter will be great player for us but there is no way Nagy expected him to fill the role that he is being asked to do now.

Love is a very big man. I think he is playing too many minutes for all the weight he carries on his frame. Think he is just worn out. That's my theory, too. Here are our legit bigs: Parker 6'11" Love 6'9" Wampler 6'6" That's it. Basille isn't ready, Parker and Billy play outside as much as (or more than) inside, and every other active player is under 6'4" Winchester would have been more than just a little nice to have and probably would have started, but he did what a lot of college kids do. Unless we can get a transfer, we're just trading out Parker for Basille. Either way, Lou is going to get pounded and pounded and pounded. Let's hope the new guys (6'1", 6'3", 6'4", and 6'6") are good 3-point shooters.
