Not only did we almost get outscored by one player. Throw some more salt in the wound, Dayton beat Detroit 98-59. Sure wish this team played defense.

Wow that's embarrassing! I can take losing a close game on the road to an inferior opponent but holy hell, what a joke. Dude almost scored half a hundo on us. Where's the pride and leadership?

It took two trips up and down the court, but I kiiiiiinda get it now. Lol that was not much help for his case Manns is not the answer. The fact that he isn't playing at all during this shitty season should be a good indicator that he isn't in Nagy's plans going forward. Don't be surprised when he transfers after the season ends.

So our defense isn’t good. Not nearly what it was last year at all. But our offense is miserable. We almost got outscored by ONE DAMN PLAYER. We will not win a single year this game scoring as little as we scored. So when is coach going to start talking about scoring points? I get that we lost Jaylon, but is Jaylon really the only key that makes this offense go? I have a hard time believing that we don’t have players who will take the ball from the top of the key all the way to the bucket. It happens to us, but we can never do it to anyone else. Skyelar is an athletic freak, why is he not taking the ball to the hoop. We were expecting 40% from 3, well turns out we are crap from 3. So maybe we try something new. We’re undermanned, but still have a much better roster than half of the league, so let’s figure this thing out and play a new game. I have faith in coach, but when is this team gonna wake up

This team is in trouble. Oakland just beat NKU. Does anyone think they can go into Oakland and get a W on Saturday? We have 0 road wins. I know defense isnt exciting but it wins alot of games. Years ago we played against a lottery pick in Gordon Hayward multiple times and games against NBA draft picks D'Angelo Russell, Isaiah Thomas, Shelvin Mack, Norris Cole and Glen Davis. None of those guys never scored 40 on us.

That ain't going to win many road games.

I have no confidence we'll beat Oakland or NKU on this trip. Maybe things will turn around for us towards the end of the trip and we can salvage a win against CSU or YSU, but 2-5 is probably the best case scenario when the dust settles after this road trip. It's looking like the 2014 season all over again.

Wow Antoine Davis is the real deal. We don't have 3 more years of him if he goes to the NBA early...Maybe after his sophomore year. I was impressed that he took the ball to the basket as well at times.
Read an article that said he used to practice against Justice Winslow and Justin Jackson from Duke and Unc, and received personal coaching from John Lucas. He's been groomed to be a great scorer, potential Nba player, Perfect situation being on a team with not much talent where he can shoot at will.
Right now though Detroit could win this league!
I think maybe it's becoming a little clearer the Raiders lost a lot of talent from last year's team. Benzinger, Winchester and Hall were all pretty talented. I agree with the thought we don't have many guys who can create shots.
I hate to say it but the ceiling does not look too high for this team. They could certainly win the Horizon League tournament with their experience and getting hot, but they aren't very athletic or deep. Maybe it's just one of those years. We will see....

Ok, someone help me out here. I have not had a chance to see Mann play at all. But if he is as bad as I am reading on here, it brings up an obvious question. Did we recruit him or did he just show up on our doorstep unannounced?? Does he have a scholarship or is he a walkon?? Why is he here??
losing Winchester was a bigger hit than most of us thought. losing hall added to that. on the bright side we lose little after this season and hopefully we have some good players coming in (hopefully no future Mann coming in).

Well, when Manns reads this gibberish about him on this message board he will either believe he is not wanted here by the at least the fans that post here or it will motivate him to work his tail end off to prove that he is a good player that can contribute. I hope it is the latter.

Keith, here is Manns profile from the recruiting board: wrightstate.proboards.com/thread/2975/james-manns-jr-wright-stateHe was a late addition to the 2017 class and had to red shirt last year because he didn't make it through the NCAA clearing house until late December. He was a raw but promising recruit coming in. He had a decent frame and showed the ability to score in high school and at prep school. The problem is he just hasn't developed physically or mentally since he has been at Wright State. He showed up on campus in June of 2017 at 6-7 and weighed 205#. In a year and a 1/2 in our strength and conditioning program he has only put on 5#. He doesn't play good man to man defense and he doesn't grasp how to play help defense at all. I tend to agree with Wolf. I don't think he will be back next year based on his lack of development and the fact that he isn't getting any playing time even though we have absolutely no dept at PF. We have 3 good options to add to our PF/C rotation next year so his chances of playing only goes down.
