That was just an unbelievable basketball game right there. Wow. Coach Brown said it best when he said it’s a shame that somebody has to lose this game. Both teams played exceptionally hard. Also I want to thank Chris Collins and Coach Brown for their fast lips and excellent commentary. They are just top notch. I was listening on the radio but they made me feel like I was right there. Wish they were calling the game instead of the ESPN crew the HL gets.

Box score attendance was 6233. Seems low to me, but I wasn’t there. We had 6100 earlier in the year against Green Bay.

That count seemed low to me. Unless 500 or more people came in without tickets.

Don’t see the attendance being incorrect. I was let down by the low numbers. NKU fans were louder than the home crowd at times. But I love the result. Take a hike, Norse.

They were whining about the calls against them but they forgot down at their place Love was mugged a number of times with no calls.

There were several distinctly clear NKU chants on the broadcast. Give them credit for pulling the trip together for their fans. It would be great if that's something we can get back to doing for big games. But it sure feels good to dispatch the boat they rode in on.

What a game & what an atmosphere. First game at WSU this year and it was totally worth it.
Down 16 just fifteen minutes into the game and it felt like we were going to get our doors blown off. WSU really responded & I was quite impressed.
70% FT but all six misses were in the final minutes of the game so the percentage felt worse than that.
NKU scored 43 points in the first fifteen minutes and only scored 34 points in the final 25 minutes!
I still think we finish second because sweeping the final four games (which include matchups against a hot YSU team & the dreaded trip to Wisconsin) will be very tough.
At this point I would be shocked if we finished worst than third so I'm happy. I'll be thrilled if we can be the #1 seed but being top 3 is important so the third time we play NKU is in the final.
Go Raiders!

I watched it a cigar bar and there were a bunch of people there rooting for the Raiders. The crowd shots on TV sure looked like a lot more than 6233.

It felt like 7500, just like raider85 said.

Go Raiders! Down the stretch is tough. Green Bay certainly has a lot to play for while Milwaukee would love to play spoiler on their home arena for either one of us. I agree with you about 1,2,or 3. Certainly don't want to be 4 with a likely date against NKU in the semis and not the finals. While it would be great if someone knocked the Norse out, I certainly want them in the ship and not in the semis. There's a ton to sort out starting tomorrow as the Flames are at Youngstown. Our best case scenario is to win out and somehow Oakland or IUPUI finishes ahead of UIC. That's a tall task, but the Penguins can do us a solid tomorrow. I honestly think that whoever sweeps up in Wisconsin will win the league given the position both the UW teams are in. Hard to see either of them rolling over on home hardwood. Bottom line, we need Oakland to do well and UIC to stumble in addition to taking care of the 4 games ahead of us. Oakland has a very favorable schedule down the stretch, UIC does not.

I'm still giddy about last night. It kinda feels like the way I felt with the OSU-Michigan game in football did in November. Honestly all day yesterday while I was excited for the game, I had a gut feeling the Raiders were going to lose. Just like OSU-Michigan. When WSU got down 16 in the 1st half I felt a little sick watching it. It looked like NKU was leaving no doubt as to who the best team in the league was.
But watching the Raiders trim the lead and stay resilient was encouraging. They never panicked, and I honestly feel like we watched our team take huge strides in maturity. Parker seems like he is playing up to his potential. He isn't scared to take a wide open 3, as he shouldn't be. Wampler should us why we were excited for his transfer. Love showing his strength and presence and letting NKU know how it is.
Gentry showing his speed on some breakaways.
Most importantly a packed house got the game they deserved.
I live in Fort Wayne and haven't made it to a game yet (hint hint I would love to see PFW get added to the league, for purely selfish reasons so I can see the Raiders in Ft.Wayne), but I am going to head to Dayton next weekend for Senior Day against YSU. This team needs fans to show up for the final two home games!!!!
And if anyone knows where I could find highlights from last night I'd love to relive some of the plays!
