I seem to recall the last time we had a big blackout promo we laid a giant egg on ESPN2 against UIC when they were hot garbage. Ever since I always wonder why we break out alternates for a home game.
Hopefully we can turn a new leaf this time around.

I’m hoping Parker plays as aggressively as he did against Detroit. Good to see Potter and Hughes hitting baskets. If our top 7 can be aggressive and hit good percentage, we can win this game.

I hope Big Lou stomps on every NKU player( especially Drew McDonald) like the UDM board accused him of doing against Antoine Davis in our game vs UDM. Then we will know that the HL is fixed by LeCrone and we will have an automatic bid into the NCAA. Ha ha.

Please help me refresh my memory. Back during the Division II glory days...was WSU's main rival Northern Kentucky, Kentucky Wesleyan, or Central State...or none of the above? I would say KY Wesleyan was the bigger rival. They were who we usually played in the ncaa D2 tourney. Our record was 9-7 vs them. We played Central State and Northern Ky pretty regularly back in the D2 days, but usually won those games, so they didn’t present a huge rivalry. NKU got better in D2 after we went to Division 1. |

Kentucky Wesleyan overall. They were more of rival during the season and in the post season. We played them home and home every year and the Great Lakes Regional. which was the first round of the post season, went through us or KWC. Central State was more of a local thing. We only scheduled them once a year and we wouldn't play at their place. They were only good a couple years. I think they only made the DII Regional twice when we were in the mix. NKU we played twice a year but they were more of am emerging program at the time. Made a nice road trip. |

Wright State is expecting a big crowd Friday and suggest you get there early. Doors will be opening a half hour earlier than normal at 7:30pm for the game. Looking forward to a good game by the Raiders!

The hype is real. This game thread already has 2 pages and we’re still 3 days away. Wish I could be there! Considering re-subscribing to ESPN+ just for this game even though their platform completely sucks.

I'm not in the 937-metro, but I hope the AD is promoting this game on the radio, billboards, etc. because the ticket situation on ticketmaster is slightly unsettling. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but I'm wondering how many of those tickets went to NKU fans...I can't imagine we have many season ticket holders in 207/208/209.
