I’m shocked to see we’re only planning to play 8 guys in our regular rotation. So Loudon, Bill, Cole, Jaylon will all be playing in that group with the first 3 starting it sounds like. But then coach says he’s going to have to pick 4 out of the other 8 eligible to round it out. Personally I look forward to hopefully seeing Skyelar and Grant Basile. Then we also have Jordan Ash and Dozic, our new 5th year guys. But coach spoke really highly of Tanner and Trey. I’m glad I’m not a coach, sounds like a great problem to have but really tough to pick a few guys.

I used to say that you can usually count on keeping 8 or 9 happy with the trick being keeping the ones that are unhappy away from the guys that aren't sure.
I'm not sure why you'd say something at this time of the year unless you want everyone to work hard to be in the mix.
Didn't understand playing 15 the last 2 games with only 12 eligible. Maybe he meant Tim and the walk-ons but, I'd have to think they would have all set certain standards to be able to travel.
Got to chuckle at a coach that complains about depth and then goes the red-shirt route. I've talked to players in the past and tried to assure them a red-shirt is not a bad thing. School is willing to pay an extra year and they wouldn't do it if they didn't think you were worth it.

#24 Tim Finke 6-6 Guard transfer from Grand Canyon. Will sit out upcoming season and then have 3 years eligibility remaining. Played high school ball at Champaign Central, IL.

Thanks Big D. I wonder if that was who it was. I didn't expect him to be as physically put together as he appears.

Loudon looks quite slimmed down too. We’re gonna be running this season!

I think Finke will be able to step right in next year in Bill Wamplers role on the team. He is a very impressive athlete and shooter.

I'm not surprised with Tanner Holden supposedly looking good so far. I'm looking forward to seeing him play and how he develops because he seems to be one heck of an athlete. (He was a standout football player in high school as well.)
The depth is a nice problem to have. As long as everyone is healthy, I don't see the rotation being limited to the same 8 or 9 players every game. Even if that is the case, looking at the schedule, I'd imagine there are going to be quite a few games where everyone can get significant minutes.

That's all he ever did at SDSU too. If the team is as good as we all hope they will be this year I think we will get 10+ guys on the court most night just to give some of the guys mop up minutes but his primary rotation will only be 8-9 deep.
