RECORD: OVERALL HOME AWAY ALL GAMES........... (9-14) (5-3) (3-11) CONFERENCE.......... (5-10) (5-1) (0-9) NON-CONFERENCE...... (4-4) (0-2) (3-2)
Starters:
McKinney G 6-4 200 So. 12.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 44% 3's Peterson G-F 6-6 225 Jr. 10.9 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 47% 3's Hughes C 6-11 220 So. 8.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg Sims G 6-1 185 Jr. 8.8 ppg Byrd F 6-9 225 Sr. 6 ppg, 3.6 rpg
Reserves: Maestranzi G 5-10 165 Jr. 7.9 ppg, 38% 3's Paulsen F 6-7 220 So. 7.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 38 % 3's Pancratz G 6-5 198 5.3 ppg
It is hard to tell who the starters are going to be. These are the ones who started the last game for them. They have 8 players who average over 17 minutes per game.
Team stats:
PPG 68.1 FG PCT .455 3 PCT .392 - they make 7.1 3's per game FT PCT .74 TO's 14.6
I don't know alot about the Huskies but the stats seem to point to the fact that they shoot a ton of 3's. They have 4 guys who have jacked up 65 or more 3's this year. It would appear that our perimeter defense is going to have to step up and defense the 3's this Saturday.
Northern Ill. also turns the ball over quite a bit @ 14.6 per game.
If it turns into a FT shooting contest we'll be in big trouble because they are lights out from the line.
I hope we can win to keep our momentum going and go into the UIC game with lots of confidence.
