How in the world are we favored by 12? And I really like our team. I think we are still trying to figure it out. I think we are in for a fight tonight. Every great WSU team has had that "Go-To" guy. That player who simply willed the team to compete. Wood, Brooks, Duggins, Benzinger, etc and a handful of guys who turned in excellent senior seasons. I'm not sure who that guy is on this team right now. I think that guy is going to be Holden. But right now, we don't have that guy unless it's Cole. Not a complaint...just an observation. We are very fortunate to have Nagy as our Head Coach. Very fortunate. I hope he stays here until he can't coach anymore. My only compliant? The decision to not use time outs when the team is flailing. I like the "they need to figure it out" mantra...I really do. My issue is that those timeouts also frequently are just enough to cool off a hot opponent...slow their roll. It works against us regularly. I wouldn't mind a timeout where the coaches don't say anything and let the players talk it out...but it slows down the opponent. I think we would have a better chance of "figuring it out" if we had a "Go-To" guy to make the stop and get the basket that cools down the opponent and gets us to figure it out. We have several very good players capable of being that guy...they just aren't...or not yet anyway. Just sharing thoughts through this point of the season.

Over on the YSU message board, I don't even think they know there is a game tonight. Their top thread is football related.

The go to guy can be different in each game. How many different player of the game have we had this year. I’m not sure but could be 6 or 7. M happy that we have 7 players who could be the high scorer. Just hope not another game like UIC when 4 of the better players were having a bad game.

I cannot stand to watch us blow a big lead like that and it happens way too often.

Don't know if it is by design or not tonight but we have not attempted a 3 point shot yet.
