I think we can complain about the refs concerning a perceived missed call here or there, but calling a D I game is tough. It is fast and there is a lot happening. Apparently, most of the referees stink. I think to find referees that call each game to our satisfaction is not going to happen. If there were better referees out there, they would have been found by now. I might add that our fans are no different than fans of most other teams, including the Big 10. All fans think the officials miss too many calls. I just do not think to point them all out does anything to improve the calls.
Well, on second thought it is probably therapeutic to the poster to post their complaints about the officials.

10 point lead erased. Very sloppy offense with Love on the bench with 2 fouls. Looks like he's checking in. Watch for the Phoenix to attack inside down the stretch here with Love apparently done for the half.

D1 refs make a lot more money than the average American and the only work a few hours a night for 6 months out of the year. When they make inconsistent calls on the same type of plays throughout the game and make calls when they are out of position, they deserve all the criticism they get. They need to earn their pay check. |

One basket in 5 minutes just simply doesn't cut. That's about as bad a 4 minutes we've played all season. All because Love had to sit because old ass Mark Riggs made a flatout garbage second foul call.
Two games in a row our best player has had to miss major minutes and has let inferior teams play up to our level. Been a frustrating last 40 minutes of Raider basketball.

This game really is critical. NKU is up 25-17 on Milwaukee at the half. We need to keep our 2 game lead in the HL.

We started out the game playing like 5 individual players. Then started playing like a team of 5 players and we led 40-30. Then returned to playing like 5 individuals and were out scored and out played. Hope they come out playing like a team of 5 again. If so, we will win going away. We also, have had too many fouls against us. If their free throw shooting was much better we would be behind in the game.

Green Bay has one of the smaller athletic department budgets in the entire HL. They do a pretty good job with doing more with less. They try to get by on the cheep on things that doesn't matter that much so they can put more into the coach's salaries. |

This team is good enough to really accomplish something but they won’t because they are constantly having these 5 minutes runs where their play is lackadaisical, uninspired, lazy. We can get away with those spells against teams like Green Bay (hopefully) and Milwaukee. But in postseason against a #3 seed that play in the last 5 minutes of the half will have us down 25 pts.
How they get so disjointed is beyond me but I am guessing nagy is reading them the riot act about now. Chris said we looked flat coming out in the first half and I have no idea how this team should look flat in Green Bay after barely squeezing a win out Friday night in Milwaukee.

That's Wampler's 3rd foul. All our starters besides Gentry have at least 2 fouls. Green Bay has 6 fouls total.
