02/23/2005 Loyola @ Cleveland State 02/23/2005 Butler @ Youngstown State 02/23/2005 Wright State @ UIC 02/23/2005 Detroit @ UW-Green Bay
Well obviously the biggest game is ours @ UIC. If Detroit loses @ GB the winner of our game is in 3rd all by themselves.
Both Loyola and CSU are on our heals so one of them will drop off while the winner remains in the hunt to host a first round game. As hot as the Ramblers are now I think they will win on the road @ CSU.
Now if only we can take care of business Wednesday. If we win it will be our 1st 3 game winning streak this year I believe. I can't think of a better time to get our first 3 game winning streak then this Wednesday.

raiderfan, the big negative i see is that while green bay has no incentive in their game with udm, they have 2nd seed locked up, i think, udm has a huge incentive. at home certainly green bay should win. i just hope they come out fired up to win the game. raiders have to knock off the flames, or should i say douse, and that should be a ding dong of a game. should be on tv. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

UWGB needs to win a few more games if they want a chance to go to the NIT if they don't win the automatic bid to the dance.

I'm going to have to agree with both KfromX & Big D. While I agree that GB will realize that they have a shot @ the NIT and give it their all, it seems to me that UDM is in a more deseperate position and literally feel like they have their backs against the wall. Besides GB has laid some big eggs at home this year. They got crushed at home by both Loyola & Butler this year. If UDM wins @ GB it won't shock me, it would dissappoint me but not shock me.
By the way, who should we be rooting for in the CSU vs Loyola game? bballraider, what is your research showing on this matchup?

Root for CSU.
Loyola is 7-8 and the CSU game is their last game. If they lose they finish 7-9.
CSU is 6-8. If they beat Loyola they will be 7-8 and have 1 remaining game against UWM. UWM should be able to handle CSU, so CSU would also finish 7-9.
We are currently 7-7, with 2 games left. As long as we can at least win 1 of those games, we will finish ahead of both of them and the worst we could finish is fifth.

I am rooting for CSU because of the reasons Big D listed. I am hoping for WSU to win both their games, but if the odds play out, we will split the two games. I think CSU will lose to UWM so that would give both Loyola and CSU a loss, and put them both below us if we finish 8-8.
However, if you believe that WSU is going to lose both its final two games, and you think UWM will lose to CSU, then you probably want to root for Loyola, so that we do not lose a home game in the first round. If CSU wins both its games (Loyola & UWM) it finishes at 8-8 and Loyola would be tied with us at 7-9 and they win the tie breaker, so we would finish 7th and have to travel to Loyola for a first round game.

Don't overlook the "Senior Night" factor when you're talking about UWGB's motivation for that game against Detroit. Unfortunately, the same thing applies to our situation against UIC. If (and it's a big if obviously) we win and UWGB win Wednesday night, then I think we have a chance of potentially catching UWGB in "sleepwalk mode" for their game here. Regardless of Wednesday's outcome, the boys should be really fired up for the UWGB game. There's still much on the line for WSU regardless of the outcome of the next one, plus it's Senior Night (for all 1 of them) for us. I suspect that the boys will be laying it all on the line not only for themselves, but for Zach and what he's meant to the team considering the "etremely challenging" roster situation the last two years.
GO RAIDERS!!!

this night could not have gone worse for rr. 3 teams needed to take care of business. uic and udm did. wsu did not. that worst case scenario that has us ending up 7 without a home game is truly nauseating. obviously things can change in postseason, but the regular season performance of the raiders has been a complete bust. not good at all. hopefully, the postseason will be different, but i am not betting the bank on it. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!11
