Until he develops a strong outside shot, there’s no way he’d get picked up by the NBA. Backing down a fellow 6’9” mid-major forward is a lot different than backing down Joel Embid.

Until I see an official announcement from Love or Wright State I'm going under the assumption that he won't be back next year. He hasn't been on campus in months. He hasn't been working out with the team. He isn't following any of the new coaches or players on social media. He hasn't made an announcement he is coming back and more importantly either has Wright State. I cannot fathom that Wright State wouldn't be blowing up social media if they knew our 2 time HL POTY was returning. This is the time of the year when our athletic department is trying to make some money off of next year's basketball season. They are trying to sign corporate sponsors and sell season tickets. It's pretty obvious that they would want it known that Love is returning if it is true.

He would have to enter his name in the transfer portal if he was thinking of doing that. If he was in the transfer portal that would be common knowledge by now.

I don’t see that happening but I guess we shouldn’t rule anything out either. It’s been stated before that Loudon and Nagy have a strong bond(father/son type relationship) and he had never seriously considered transferring going into last year. But if there isn’t a solid opportunity overseas then it’s possible he could play for a power 5 for 1 season…..say Illinois or somewhere close to home where all his family/high school/middle school buddies could come watch him in person. To be honest, he could make more money doing that than playing in a different county with the NIL ruling. At this point….JUST PICK SOMETHING PLEASE before we come up with some other crazy theories on what he’s going to do.

The deadline to be in the transfer portal for eligibility next season has passed. You don't have to have declared where yet, but you have to be in it already.

Lou isn't transferring.

Well, if you want a crazy theory, I got one. Grant and Nagy have both talked about how hard it has been to get decent teams to play us the last few years because they don’t want to play us with Love on our roster. Maybe our staff has known for some time that Lou is coming back but don’t want to play it up until our schedule is complete for next year. That is my conspiracy theory for the day.

Pretty lengthy segment on 2 News just now previewing the Raiders with lots of video and interviews in the gym during practice. No sign of or mention of Loudon FWIW. They had each of our incoming players speak a bit and say a little bit about their game and strengths.
I imagine you could inject Loudon into team activities at any point and he would know his role but it also seems fair to say he certainly isn't back with the team preparing as if he'll be out there on the floor for WSU this fall.

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT: Just because he isn’t in the promos doesn’t mean he isn’t on the team. Really easy to keep a guy out of frame when you shoot and edit a video.

What’s the longest the team could hold out telling anyone? (Serious question)
Could he do a Willis Reed thing and come out immediately before the first game of the season? (Not serious question)
