Lost in the disappointment of the men's team was a nice win by the ladies over a good PFW team. At 9-6 they now sit essentially tied for 3rd with FW (8-6). Cleve St and GB are running away with the top two (both 12-2).
Wright State's remaining schedule is very winnable: YSU (7th place, 7-8) NKU (9th, 5-9) RMU (11th, 2-13) @ Oakland (8th, 6-9) @ Det (5th, 8-7)
We beat all 5 of those teams in the first meeting. So the rest of the way should be 4-1 or 5-0, and a 3rd place finish is very achievable.
Coach Hoffman should be receiving votes for HL Coach of the Year.

Ugh, for the 2nd straight game the Lady Raiders lost at home by double digits to a team they previously beat handily on the road (first YSU, then today NKU). For much of the season, this team was regularly getting into the 80s. For these past two games, getting to 60 has been a challenge, and the 3s just aren't falling. They've now fallen to 5th place.

Yeah you can't go into an off-season with just one year remaining on her contract. We either needed to extend her or plan on making a change. Of those two options it seems like a no-brainer to offer the extension.

This is well deserved as the program has turned the corner this year. Hopefully Coach Hoffman can continue to build it with more recruits or transfers who will be here 3-4 years, and less reliance on transfers that only have one year left.

Women lose a tough one at Oakland. Led from mid first quarter till end, up 8-12 most of the second half despite atrocious one sided officiating. Then didn't score the last 3 plus minutes, and Oakland tied it with 3 seconds left. Eventually lost in double OT. Now need to beat a tough Detroit team on their senior day to avoid falling out of top 4 seed.

Lady Raiders win at Detroit 66-56 to hold onto the number 4 seed, and a home game in the tourney on Thursday. Opponent TBD based on games ongoing and later today, but most likely will be a rematch with Detroit.

Milwaukee pulls off a big upset on the road against Green Bay, knocking GB out of the #1 seed. This win appears to give Milwaukee the tiebreaker they need to capture 5th place, so that's who the Raiders should play on Thursday.

Nice to see the ladies hold serve at home. I hope they get a good draw for their next game.

Game was extremely close throughout, and still tied with 3 minutes to go. WSU finally hit shots and got stops on consecutive possessions to go up 6 (largest lead to that point by either team) with about a minute to go, then made there free throws down the stretch. Good win, ladies!
Unfortunately all 4 higher seeds held serve at home (unlike the men where 3 of 4 lost), so now we draw the #1 seed CSU. CSU and GB were both clearly in a class way above the rest of the HL, so Wright State will be a big underdog.
