…from a CSU Superfan/media guy that goes by the name of Swoll Cracker… Well, that’s disconcerting.

Colorado State 8.5 point favorites tonight.
It feels like this line is giving WSU a decent amount of respect.
Can't wait for the game!

I’m pumped, feels like a Friday Night Lights prime time game to start the season. WSU has all the pieces for a successful season, but it could take a few games to truly settle in. I’m just hoping we put up a fight and make it a good game….kind of like last years opener at home against Davidson.

Colorado State already played this year. Hopefully the film from that game can help the team since they won't have the live game experience that the Rams got earlier this week.
A huge chance for a statement win to kickoff the season.
I am so excited for tonight's game. Even if WSU loses I hope they play well.
These first 3 games are going to be a true challenge.

I think the Raiders can pull off the upset. I just have 2 concerns: 1)the altitude (Hopefully Nagy uses the deep, experienced bench) and 2)the Raiders potentially coming out rusty in their first game. This the is 2nd straight year the Raiders open the season against an opponent who has already played a game. Maybe it will be an advantage as there won't be tape on Drey Carter (I think he could be the difference maker this season), Logan Woods, or any of the true freshmen, if Nagy decides not to redshirt any of them. I feel like at least one of them will play this season.

I feel like at least one of them will play this season. I agree about the altitude, studies show that basketball players playing in higher altitudes tend to get exhausted 15-20% quicker than low altitude. In CSU’s first game La Tech (which plays basically at sea level) looked tired at the end of the game and gave up a 28-6 run in the second half, as their shooting percentage dropped drastically after 7 minutes into the 2nd half. I’m hoping like you, that Nagy uses his bench a little longer and sooner than normal. The spread for the game has jumped to around 10.5 for CSU. Also with higher altitude can affect 3 pt shooting due to air pressure change, and tired legs on extended play, so hopefully we play our normal game and don’t rely on the 3 ball. At least I saw the players were shooting around yesterday at CSU, hopefully that helps us adapt okay. I think it will be a good game with two evenly matched teams as far as size and talent. I just wished we would have had one game under our belt like CSU has. I think that gives them a slight advantage.

My Facebook Memories reminded me that 11 years ago yesterday we opened the season at Idaho. We went in a 9 point underdog and won by 10. Go Raiders!

Think I'm going to bet on the spread and moneyline, WSU. WSU 74-69. Calvin 20 points Holden 16. I think this is winnable. Hope my expectations are not too high lol I think with Holden this team can be dangerous.
