On the road again at Northern Kentucky on Sunday February 4 at 2PM. Catch the game on ESPN+ if you cannot take the short drive across the river to support your team. With eight games to go in the season, WSU has already completed play with Youngstown and Green Bay, losing all four games. WSU has yet to play Oakland or NKU. This game on Sunday against NKU feels like a must win game if WSU has any hopes of a top four finish in the Horizon League. In conference play WSU is in fourth place with a record of 7-5 (tied with Cleveland State). NKU is 6-5 (tied with Milwaukee). Wright State has a lackluster record of 12-11 and will need to win out to gather another 20 victory season under Nagy. Go Raiders! Play hard, play smart!

About an hour till tip-off and no one cares! Hope the players are more pumped than the fans. This game is very winnable and would put the Raiders in the drivers seat for a top four finish. Maybe WSU should change their mascot to a cricket, to represent the quiet fan base. However, I do prefer the quiet fan over the complainer fan. Hey coach Nagy, if you are reading this, let the freshmen play a little more today, the five starters are worn out, that is why you guys get trashed on the boards, because you have exhausted your troops. Go Raiders!!!

Lineup change with Tanner coming off the bench. Carter taking his place. I think coach wants Tanner to rebound more, and he’s trying to make a point to Tanner. This is his worst year of rebounding since he’s been here, and I’m sure coach thinks he should be grabbing more this year because of his athleticism. |

Decent defense overall. Nku making some low percentage shots. I love the tall line up of Trey, Tanner, Drey, Noel and AJ.

The 16-0 run was key. The Raiders got sloppy at the end, but did enough to get a needed win.

Tanner improved his game. I think he got the message from coach. We had 5 players in double figures scoring. I just would like to see a double team to release after it’s job is done. They leave too many open shots related to that flaw.

I was not complaining, I was offering constructive criticism to coach Nagy. I think someone from the coaching staff read my suggestion to Nagy before tip-off and that is why he played Carter so much today. I would like to think my suggestion was the missing ingredient needed to finalize this big win today. |
