Well gee whiz old, you don’t like the “complainer” fans then you spend half your post complaining about how coach uses his players. KFX, you don't get it. I was not complaining, I was offering constructive criticism to coach Nagy. I think someone from the coaching staff read my suggestion to Nagy before tip-off and that is why he played Carter so much today. I would like to think my suggestion was the missing ingredient needed to finalize this big win today. Don't give yourself credit. He was sending a message to Tanner about not fighting for rebounds. And Tanner responded and improved his rebounding.

Big response and a great win. WSU is now 5-3 on the road in HL play....last two games are the Detroit trip, so good chance at a winning road record in conference play.
UWGB and YSU still have to play each other twice...UGWB still has to also go to CSU and UWM. YSU also has road games against CSU and UWM. OU has an easier road ahead (though two games against WSU). Two games back is going to be really tough to overcome for 1st place, but still feeling good about a top 4 seed and bye/home game into second round.

Holy crap! NKU had 4760 in attendance for today's game. Wright State will mostly like not see a crowd above 4000 the rest of this season.

We have 3 weekend games coming up that could eclipse 4000 each. Saturday against a good Oakland team is military appreciation night and we usually get a good crowd for that game. Followed by homecoming the following weekend, and we end the season with Nirthern Kentucky at home. I think all could be well attended assuming we don’t slip up against Detroit this Thursday. Losing to a no win team can kill a lot of momentum for a season.

Lots of students there at the beginning but they sat down and were disintrested. They gave out 500 Yellow NKU students so a lot came got the jersey and left. About half of the students left after the halftime homecoming court ceremony. Would love a good crowd for the next three weekend home games! Just gotta market it better!

I cared but was on the road, listened via radio. I watched the replay after I got home. Turnovers and free throws were about the only things to point at today. I was happy AJ had a good game -- he just seemed to be way more physical than usual. Did anyone else catch the postgame interview with him? A pretty funny moment when he said the coach had been getting on his a** about his rebounding. I think it caught the radio crew off guard, and had Justin in stitches.

It was great to be the team that goes on a late run to gain separation...BUT...NKU missed a TON of wide open looks during that run and we still managed to let them back in it. Our defense and turnovers are maddening.

I watched the game again looking at the turnovers. Our two leaders, Alex and Tanner had specific reasons for most of their turnovers. Alex was because passes were blocked by his defensive player and Tanner was because he dribbled into double coverage with no one in a passing lane. On defense again the player double teaming is staying too long and leaving hus man or someone open. Although the double team problem still is present it has improved lately. We are in fourth place in the league and have a lot of games we should win. GO RAIDERS

Detroit Oakland Robert Morris @ Detroit @ Oakland IPFW NKU
7 games left and 5 are at home. 5-2 is very attainable with this schedule and that should put WSU in the very-important top 4. I think 6-1 over this stretch is the best-case scenario with 3-4 being the worst-case scenario.
I am concerned over the team wearing down in February/March due to the number of minutes played by the starters.
We will see what happens!

I would expect 6-1 is most realistic answer but I'm a competitor which means the goal is 7-0.

Agree that 7-0 should be the goal, and also agree that 5-2 is very attainable and probably the most likely. Detroit twice and RMU at home absolutely should be wins. Oakland is likely a split, but they seem to be the one team that we historically exceed expectations against. Ft Wayne and NKU both at home is also likely a split, but we are probably going to be favored in both. So 6-1 is also realistic.
I'm still concerned we'll have that one game where we go cold for 5 minutes and the game stays in the mid 70s. We might get away with that against NKU (or the 3 we should win). But we'll lose if we go cold against PFW (who looked real good in beating YSU yesterday) or Oakland.
I have no concerns about wearing down (barring injuries), as the bench is getting more time. Drey has clearly earned the coaches trust, and Logan is close. KK and Andrew will continue to get some minutes. I would hope we can open up big leads against Detroit and RMU where those 4 are all are able to get more minutes.

I think it is clearly evident that Scott Nagy reads this board...how else do explain Holden coming off the bench after I've harped on the bench only making 1 FG in back-to-back games. Easy solution to that problem!
All joking aside, I really liked how they guarded Warrick. Sure, a quick glance at the box score will show 20 points but a deeper dive reveals... 5 Garbage time points 9 Fastbreak points
Leaving just 6 points when NKU was running their offense throughout the first 39 minutes of the game. Warrick was 0/5 from 3, didn't have (m)any open looks. He had made 11 of 18 3-PT FG in his last 3 games vs WSU
