Seems pretty likely that we will play NKU not only on Saturday but again next Thursday. The question will be where the game will be played. Based on our road record I'm not sure it would be the worst thing for us to play down there.
Having said that... Go Raiders!

If we keep playing defense the way we have, I like our chances. NKU is not a good offensive team, but Warrick can go off for 30+ at any time. Their zone can be suffocating at times. We just need to shoot the way we usually do, keep the turnovers down, and rebound.
Having said that, I hate the idea of playing the same team twice in a row. We saw during covid how tough that was to win twice.

That was an entertaining game -- obviously, glad we came out on top. Good thing we went up by 15 at one point early in the second half...we needed some separation to withstand the crazy 3 point shooting from Warrick. I'd have to rewatch the game to say for sure, but my recollection was that most of his shots were either way out, or with a hand in his face, or both. It wasn't like earlier in the season when we were leaving guys wide open. Sometimes you have to give credit to the guy making the shots.

Good win by the Raiders! Thought we played pretty good defense against Warrick and he still winds up with 39. Hopefully he will cool off some next week.
I hate having to play the same team in consecutive games, but it sure beats the alternative of having to go on the road to GB.

History shows the attendance always drops for the tournament games, but we need to get people to show up. Double header with the women, so come early and watch both. Was a little surprised there seemed to be fewer NKU fans tonight than usual. Maybe a battle for 4th doesn't have the same appeal as when we were playing them for first, but I'm guessing they will find a way to bus in a bunch of students next week. So we need to get the WSU students out in full force. |

Fun watching this team rebound on both ends. Getting an offensive rebound and putting it back in for 2 is such an emotional boost.
Those boosts matter more in high leverage games. Great win, but Warrick scary when he gets hot from outside.
