Boy oh boy it sure seemed like Scott would have been a nice fit here but I'll have to trust BB until proven wrong.

Boy oh boy it sure seemed like Scott would have been a nice fit here but I'll have to trust BB until proven wrong. I am not sure it was a matter of Brownell not wanting Grote at Wright State. Hoopmasters.com lists UNCW as one of the teams that offered Grote a scholarship. If Brownell wanted him at Wilmington, I would assume that he wanted him here as well. |

Thanks for the info Irishfan. I never realized that BB was recruiting Scott when he was at UNCW.
Can we "assume" then that BB did recruit Scott but he chose the Dukes over WSU?

Grote might have wanted to go away to school or he might not have wanted to live up to his father's legacy at Wright State.

I hope Coach Brownell is able to keep more of the local players in the area in the future. The Miami valley has pretty solid basketball talent.
