Green Bay is a tough draw. We are going to have to shoot much better on Tuesday if we want to make it to round 2.

There are no favorites in this tourney. None. In conference play, everybody in the lower half has upset somebody in the top half: YSU vs. Butler, Loyola @valpo and @uwm, UWGB @valpo and @uwm WSU vs. Milwaukee and vs. Butler
The only exception is UIC, who managed to beat then-14th ranked Illinois. The team that scares me most in this tournament is Youngstown State. They've only won two league games this year, but one of those was over Butler. They've forced OT against Valpo and UWM, and have played us and UDM close this season. If an opponent has an off FT shooting night or turns it over one too many times, they are capable of beating anybody.
My outlandish prediction strictly for the sake of saying "I told you so": YSU wins the HL tourney at the Nutter Center and becomes the first #16 seed to knock off a #1 on a Vitas Sulskis last-second 3.
What I hope will happen that slightly more feesable: WSU beats UWGB, CSU, and Butler to make it to the finals where they beat UWM in their house for the first time in nearly two decades. Butler goes to the NIT and slaughters Dayton by 30 in the early rounds.
What I think will happen: YSU wins one game and Butler loses to Valpo at Hinkle in the finals. Butler uses their extra win to get an at-large and the HL has two representatives in the tourney. Duggins is named all-tourney team and closes out career with most games played in WSU history.
This is assuming Valpo beat UIC tonight. I may have to rework it a little bit otherwise.

Don't count us out of this baby! I like our chances against UWGB, and the winner of CSU vs UIC. With Troy back, CSU will have to play us a little different than they did last game if they win. If we get to the semi's, BU will be tough, but this team has done some stranger things and it won't be at Hinke, so it's probably more of a "push"! Then the finals, which barring major upset, at UWM. Well, we all know our track record there...but like I said. This team has done some weird things in the past!
Optimistic....yes! Feasable.....ABSOLUTELY!

Sorry but I don't see getting Troy back as a good thing. Troy is a below average athlete that makes up for his lack of foot speed by being a great shooter. With his hand wrapped the way it is for being broken, Troy cannot shoot and he was eaten alive by Blake on defense. I understand why Donlon played him on senior night, but I think we would have been better served to play him less. In regards to the above quote, we played CSU much better without Troy than we did with Troy in the line up. The difference was that Troy wasn't athletic enough to keep up with CSU's guards in game one. I think we would be much better served to play Cole more at the 3 than Troy.
