Naturally I'm interested in WSU, but the best bracket, IMO, is the bottom half. Valpo at #4 vs YSU @ #9. What a game that could prove to be. Then there is #5 UDM vs #8 Loyola. I wish these games could be on a neutral court, but even as it stands now, I think we could see an upset here.
But if things go as expected by the rankings, that gives us Valpo vs UDM, another great game.
The winner of that game will then face Milwaukee.
In our bracket I think CSU will dispose of UIC. The tougher match-up will be WSU vs GB. The two past games, won by WSU, have been gut wrenching. What a great game to end our at home season.Let's hope we can win that tough "third game" against GB.
The next game against CSU will be a huge test for us. We came close to a win at WSU. Can we finally get over that hump, the "hump" being CSU, not Poque down low. And if we do we'll be matched up against Butler.
The fact is, there are no easy marks in the HL this year. And next year will be just as hard, if not harder.

That's not very encouraging. This current format is set up for the top two seeds, particularly the first seed, to win the tournament. I imagine that CSU is none too pleased to have tied for first place and now has to win four games to win it all versus just two for the #1 and #2 seeds who had the same conference record. Thanks for the information , Orville & Wilbur.

I'm happy to see WSU is favored by Vegas and others, but we all know that this will likely be a dog fight until the final buzzer. Let's hope we can avoid a lot of foul calls against our starting 5, especially Duggins and Evans. I hope this will be a game where the teams are allowed to play as opposed to a game with 45 or 50 fouls called.
Let's go Raiders! We know you can do it.

And here...we...goPantherU, along with Fan The UIC Flames and Chicago College Bball, will be running a live chat for those Horizon League fans who will not be in attendance of the games tonight. It's going to go through John Templon's website, the link of which will be on that PantherU post.

GB is a tough draw for a #7 seed. That's just it...there are NO easy outs in the tournament. UIC is the worst team, but they beat Illinois and played close against everyone at the top...YSU BEAT Butler and nearly did the same against Milwaukee and Valparaiso.

Just met with Corey Griest. Apparently the closed end of the arena where the band and students sit will be completely empty tonight. That's UWGB's designated section and they're not bringing any students or their band. Students are mandated to sit on the end of the court where the team's bench is. The Nutter is going to look very very empty tonight.

I'm surprised they don't sit them behind the GB bench and wrap them around towards the area where our students always sit. I don't think GB will have more fans than that.
