Bryce Drew isn't wasting any time putting his mark on Valpo. Valpo should be pretty good in 2 years when all of these transfers become eligible.

now that is a very, very nice home and home. one other thought. gonzaga is driving all the way to indie for this game, i would bet they would like another game to make it a two game trip. i hope our scheduling guys are on the horn to gonzaga right now trying to schedule a series with them.

Where in the article did it say the Zags would drive to Indy? I highly doubt it.

Personally I hope we aren't looking into that. The return trip wouldn't be worth it.

uh, raiderscout, i was sorta being a little facetious there. don't take me so literally. and g & g, come on, be a little creative to improve our schedule. having gonzaga at home would be a really great game for us. and going out there we could schedule another game to make it a 2 game trip. how any raider fan would turn there nose up at a pair of games with one of the top mid majors, well, it is just beyond me. maybe you would like a couple of more div ii games. that would set the town on fire.

Just because I don't want to waste our teams entire travel budget for the year on one game doesn't mean I'm turning my nose up on playing Gonzaga. It means I think there are many better options available to us. And there are many many MANY better options for us than going to Gonzaga and/or scheduling a D2 team. Since you seem fixated on Butler's schedule, why don't you take another look at it. They also play Xavier. Trying to schedule Xavier makes WAY more sense than trying to schedule Gonzaga. We have a history with Xavier. It's a short bus trip away for us vs going all the way to the other side of the country and it will be just as beneficial to us as playing Gonzaga would be. That would make sense. Blowing our entire travel budget to play a mid-major across the country doesn't make sense to me.
