Steve Donahue will be introduced as the next head coach at Penn. A press conference has been scheduled for Tuesday to make the announcement. The former Boston College and Cornell head coach was an assistant at Penn from 1990-2000. He went 146-138 during his tenure at Cornell (29 wins and a Sweet 16 run in 2010), and 54-76 in his four seasons at BC.

Another “hot” name…former Oregon State and Brown head Craig Robinson is getting some play at Illinois-Chicago. The Chicago native (and presidential brother-in-law), spent last season working for ESPN. In eight seasons as a DI head coach, Robinson is 124-133 (30-28 at Brown, 94-105 Oregon State).

Craig Robinson was on UIC's campus yesterday. If I was betting I would say this is the favorite to get the job.

According to an ESPN report, Holy Cross will name Bill Carmody as their new head coach. In 17 years as a head coach, Carmody has compiled a 284-235 record (192-210 at Northwestern, 92-25 at Princeton).

Steve Shields has been relieved of his duties this afternoon at Arkansas-Little Rock. Shields has spent the past 12 seasons at the school. His squad finished 13-18 this past season.
