Proved me wrong too. Maybe if they'd stop losing to crappy teams, we'd stop having low expectations for big games.
We now have the ultimate tiebreaker for the tournament. With Valpo still making the WI trip, I guess the first seed is still technically possible.

The HL will now be a one-bid league. Let's hope it's us.

We were over confident going into UIC's game and lost it. I think Valpo had the same curse on this game. Looking at their boards, they all had like 20 points over us against a team that beat them decently at their home.

YES! Get those brooms out. Raiders just swept Valpo.
What a game. I might have screamed when Biggie made that final bucket. Maybe.

Unbelievable a sweep of Valpo and a loss at UIC. Well it is what it is. Now a win Monday and chances for Second place finish is much better.

We aren't a bad team. We are an inconsistent team. A winning program pretty regularly, just not NCAA tournament caliber regularly.

Once again a poster on the Valpo board said that Wright State is a really bad team. Since we beat them twice what does that make them? Too funny They're salty. We knocked them out of any chance for an at-large bid.

It's a pretty funny meltdown on the Valpo board right now...perhaps some of the WSU fans on this board have infiltrated that one....

Valpo fans thinks we are like a cancer in their brains. Got to admit the lid was over the basket for them but our defense really affected their offensive game.
Have to believe the refs will not be catering to Valpo now since they know it is a one team bid for the NCAA.
After a loss to the Flames and a win over the Crusaders I believe that the rest of the league has taken notice that any of them can win the tourney.
The Horizon League is a one bid NCAA tourney league until a team makes a run in the NCAA and then dominates their out of conference and conference games with a minimum of 2 or 3 losses for the season.

The play at the end of the game, was drawn up nicely. It looked like the first option was Yoho from mid-range, and then Karena from the foul line. Both give us a chance to win on the shot. But since this was set-up for our 2 big men to be away from the basket, it drew their big men out away from the basket, opening up the chance for a tip-in from our guards, where they didn't have the height advantage.
Minnis was streaking in from the outside almost before the shot by Mike went up, so that he would be in position for that game winning put back.
The coaches drew up a nice play, but also give credit to the players for coming back and executing at the end. Great Win By the Raiders!

The Valpo board has a pretty good overall rapport with each other and are fairly self aware. Kind of impressed by that, actually. As for that final play, Minnis stayed as far in the corner as he could to draw his man out. When the shot went up and everyone raced to the boards, his guy spotted Alstork in the lane and decided to box him out. If that ball had bounced any other direction, it would have been Valpo's ball. Minnis did one hell of a job getting to the open spot and timing it perfectly. I've watched that play ten times and he was so smooth it was almost like Donlon drew it up for him.
