Valpo 75 WSU 45 if the 3 point shot don't go in. Valpo 62 WSU 66 if the 3 point shot goes in.
Which team will show up? Donlon should know what to do if the 3 point shot is bouncing off the rim.

Where they shoot the three from also makes a difference. I would bet Grant has higher percentage from the corners and JT from middle part. Shot selection and where the shot comes from can be important.

If we know where the players like to shoot the ball I am sure our opponents do as well. One thing about conference play there are rarely any surprises. Here lately Justin Mitchell has been out playing a lot of our players in hustle, defense and he does secure rebounds well for a guard.

The thing is we beat Valpo last time because 1) We continued driving to the lane and in the second half hit shots inside, 2) That opened up open, high quality 3s, which the guys hit, and 3) JT and Joe T. played lockdown defense on Peters. The guys need to drive and get Fernandez in foul trouble, which should help open up good looks from the outside again. But to me, the key is stopping the other team's best player. In our last two league losses, we did not (Dixson and Felder). If we contain Peters and get fernandez in foul trouble, I like WSU's chances.

No, we won last time because the game was played at home. This team can't win on the road.

I like the optimism from the 3s, but we won't win this game.
Valpo will cram their tiny gym full and I think we'll get blown out by 20.
This team is so inconsistent, and so has Horizon officiating. Our key guys will get into foul trouble, and Valpo will own us inside. We're not deep enough down low to deal with a physical whistle in a road game.
We'll need GB to beat Oakland to keep pace for 2nd. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, but we just don't have the chops to win this game. Hell, we couldn't best lowly UIC.

Up 33-24 at the half. The three is going in...HHGreen's projection holds true for the first half.
Oakland trashed GB today dropping 111 points on the Nix. Must win game for us to keep pace for second.
VU being very aggressive offensively leading to a lot of fouls and turnovers. Bryce Drew not happy, and got T'd up late in the half. I think we ended the half on a 10-2 run.
We HAVE HAVE HAVE HAVE to come out on fire to start the second half. If Valpo starts on a run and forces us into an early time out, we're going to be in trouble. We need to maintain the lead, and stretch it if at all possible.

Key stats in first half:
1) WSU outscored Valpo at the line, and only shot 7 threes out of their 23 shots 2) Fernandez has three fouls, 4 turnovers, but no points and 1 off. rebound 3) Peters has four points on two highly contested, tough shots 4) Rebounds pretty much equal (15-14 valpo)
Let's see how Drew and Valpo adjust and if WSU can match their intensity in the first five minutes.

6 points off of offensive rebounds already.

We've pissed the lead away with horrible defensive rebounding, bad shot selection, and excessive fouls. I think we're at 5 fouls at 15:30 to play.
More the game I expected to see, but hopefully we can get the ship righted.

Will a BD coached team hold a half time lead? We have lost a lt more half tin leads than maintained them.
