17 home games including a Power 5 school (Georgia), plus the Great Alaska Shootout. Some good RPI opportunities in there for our league. Let's hope they can recover from the loss of Felder.

Wow I wonder if we will ever get to this point with the Nutter Center? Every time I go to a home game (or watch online) I see just how sparse 3000 fans actually appear in a venue originally designed for 10000 fans. Was it a mistake to build such a large arena? Is it realistic to ever expect average crowds of 5000 or 6000 fans for WSU home games?

If we get Raider Round Ball back to an exciting game with success we will get the fans back. The Administration will need to do a good amount of promotions this year. It would be great to give season ticket holders free and discounted tickets to give friends. If new people attend and it is exciting they will return.

Hoping that you are right about attendance ohiopirate and Dr J. I am not advocating tearing down the NC or criticizing the design. I think it is a versatile, multi-use facility and a great venue to view events. Probably just comparing apples to oranges, but the article got me to thinking about the NC. Did we build too big of an arena? and if we had to do it again, right now, do you think we build something roughly the same scale/capacity as the NC, or would we build something smaller?

Cincy, if you are going to get good events you need the seating capacity and good viewing arrangement. I am confident if promoted by administration and the present fans we can get a bigger fan base back.
