I don't have a season pass for baseball but, high school sports will keep me entertained in the spring. I am just wondering if the lack of scheduled streaming isn't a sign of the budget woes. Can't believe we wouldn't have the opener and UD game on. Oh well, give me some nicer weather.
Like I said in a previous post, even I didn't care if this ( basketball ) team played on. I still think it is a mistake and I still think the number of HL teams playing on could help perception. That of course is just my opinion of what I see as a season being a success or not. It was okay.

Good question about the streaming, tommygun. The ESPN site shows our game tomorrow with UC streamed and all 3 vs. Valpo this weekend streamed. However, on the WSU baseball site it shows only the Friday evening game being streamed.

mrose, last week I had done a search on ESPN3 and noticed the number of games for WSU that were supposed to be available. I guess it is okay if you think I'm cheap but, I am pretty sure I was promised an all-sports pass again this year. Anyway, can't say I won't show up for some Raider baseball if the temps are least 30 degrees warmer but, out of sight out of mind on the streaming.

Not a good showing this postseason for the HL so far... Valpo got smoked by Illinois, 82-57 and Oakland is trailing Clemson 43-24 at halftime.

Amazingly, after trailing by 19 at the half, Oakland outscores Clemson in the second half 50-26 to win 74-69. They will advance to play the winner of tonight's Alabama-Richmond game.

Raider 93, if you watched the game, you would under stand why Oakland came back. In his usual move, Brownell, had them in a slow down mode to "protect" the lead. How many times does a basketball coach have to see that strategy usually ends up as a loss. You are giving your players a negative approach. In my opinion that strategy should not be used until there is only 3-5 minutes left and you have 15-20'point lead. Don't change what is working for you.

So familiar, remember that gameplan well. Really tough season for Brownell - they lost a ton of close games this year. Excited for Oakland though, would be nice if they could make a deep run.

From the article: T he deal with the men's tournament is for five years, with an opt-out after Year 3.I don't remember hearing that before. Interesting. If we want to keep that sponsorship money it would help if Oakland and Detroit could play a few more games next year to raise attendance. But for everyone wishing we didn't host a neutral site tournament in Detroit....may be an early out.

ohiopirate, you might be right...we have seen changes over the years WSU has been in a league but, next year will be in a brand new arena that the Red Wings and Pistons play in. Not sure about ticket prices but, I could see people showing up just to see the place.
Feel free to keep your opinions flowing on the subject. Anyway, if attendance is up the league might assume everything is peachy.

Biggest deterrent from attending for me is time, not location. I can't go on a road trip on a Tuesday. Needs to be Friday/Saturday/Sunday and I'm there

I think we all owe the Norse a round of applause for the showing they gave last night against Kentucky. That was really something impressive. The Horizon League is on the rise IMO

Why does the WSU/ Kentucky court in the Tourney say "Presented By: Horizon League"? I haven't heard anything about that.

The tournament sites are all "hosted" by either a league and/or school. For example the 1st and 2nd rounds in Indy were "hosted" by the HL and IUPUI.
