Just got back from the game. What a win. Cannot wait for Friday. Just saw we are 22.5 point underdogs against Arizona. We are playing with the house's money at this point in time. No one expects us to win Friday. I hope we show up and make a game of it. It's great exposure for the program and another great experience for our players to build upon for next season.

Do we want a bye, or don't we? Even if we somehow get our shit together and win today you are being delusional if you think we aren't going to lose at least 1 other game this year. This team has too many glaring weaknesses.

Until they show they can beat a zone consistently, our boys are going to face a steady dose of it the remainder of the year. They need to figure it out sooner vs later.

This is a game that scares the crap out of me. We don't match up well with Cleveland State. All the things we struggled with earlier this week against NKU, Cleveland State does better. All they do is attack attack attack the rim offensively and defensively they play very physical match up zones, full court presses, or man to man. We struggle most against zones but we don't do well with teams that keep switching up defenses on us either. They also run players in and out of the game like they are doing full shift changes in a hockey game and we only go 7 deep most nights. To make matters worse, this is a nationally televised game, and we don't traditionally play well in big games on TV.
We are running a lot of promotions to get fans in the stands for tonight's game. I really hope we rise to the occasion and give those fans a reason to come back for future games.

Anyone that thinks Nagy should be fired or is even close to being on the hotseat needs to have his head examined.

The preferred option as was first suggested was to shoot the open 3. That would supposedly be the purpose of playing 4 on the perimeter. Why else? Do you seriously not watch college basketball outside of Wright State? Everyone plays 4 on the perimeter nowadays. Since you do not understand that or why they do it, it is to spread out the defense to open things up for the post inside or for cutters. That is why having active guys and good ball movement is the key to it.

Chucking up 3s when you are not a good 3 point shooting team is a bad idea. Playing 4 bigs when you only have 2 good ones is a bad idea. This roster has holes in it. We have been successful this year when our guys are active and have good ball movement. We have looked really bad when we get away from that.

Congratulations Coach Clint Sargent. I think yesterday was the first of many wins to come in his head coaching career.

If the goal is to same money/cut costs then football does not help with that. There is a better chance of Coach K taking over the mens program and us moving to the big east than there is wsu to have football. You obviously haven't done any research. Non-scholarship football makes money for schools and should be considered. Scholarship football doesn't unless you are a P5 school.

We've had several days off to get the defense where it needs to be. Time to get this season turned around with a big home win. Let's do this!

So to sum it all up. Athletics isn't going anywhere. We aren't dropping out of D1. And the WSU faculty union can eat a bag of dicks if they want to bitch and moan about it!

AJ had a great game against IPFW. He shows a lot of talent and promise. Yes, he is a freshman, but his defense is awful. Manns might as well be in at least he can hit a 3 and won't do those stupid rainbow shots jumping from the free throw line. It obviously makes more sense to play the freshman who is going to be our starting center for the next 4 years that needs the experience vs the 5th year senior who is out the door at the end of the season.
