Milwaukee gives Belmont yet another reason to regret passing on HL membership. The Bruins beat the Panthers by a larger margin than they beat all but one OVC opponent last year.
HL drops to 29-55
In other news: Illinois hangs up 92 on Longwood. Elite scorer Mark Alstork finishes with 10, his second highest output in a regulation game.

Looking at the schedule for the Hitachi College Basketball Showcase which features Oakland, Detroit, Michigan and Michigan State. Is this a one time event or does anyone know if this will be scheduled annually? Looks like it may just be once due to the opening of Little Caeser's Arena, but a similar idea to what some people have mentioned here about WSU having annual games scheduled against regional competition.

Oakland going blow for blow with Little Brother. Down 2 halfway through the 2nd half. Brock and Hayes each playing with 4 four fouls.

Detroit edged out by Michigan 90-58. Titans turn it over 23 times. Had each of those possessions instead lead to two points, though, Detroit was on track to pull a huge upset. Next time.
Milwaukee hands Loyola just it's second loss of the season, continuing the tradition of recent HL teams destroying each others' at-large bids. Good pick up, Panthers!

Kampe goes classy by wearing a suit on the sidelines, but his team unravels like a loosely knit sweater. Oakland goes down 86-73 in a tough one.

Oakland played well, believe the score was tied at 66 with under six minutes to go. Yeah, I kinda misrepresented that outcome. Grizzlies took them down to almost the wire. They just ran out of gas at the very end. Oakland is a tough, tough team.

Close only counts in horse shoes and throwing grenades. They lost. That is all that matters. I'll respect Oakland once they can win more than 1 game in the HL tournament.

I'd say it's useful to know thine enemy. They pushed the #2 team in the country for 36 minutes. Worth noting for a lot of people.

Green Bay just picked up their fifth total W of the season and their third against non-D1 opponents.
Youngstown State (RPI 341) comes up just 14 points short of their first D-1 win at Idaho State (RPI 334).
IUPUI almost pulls it off at the end, but can't quite hold Gonzaga to double digits. Jags fall 101-71
HL now stands at 32-59 vs D1.

Too upset about our own loss for jokes. This is what happened tonight:
Detroit lost Cleveland State lost NKU lost UIC lost
HL is now 32-64 vs. D1 competition.

O-town owns Towson! Nunn downs 7 from downtown on his own!
Utah State takes down Youngstown State. Penguins get the last laugh by dragging the Aggies' RPI down 13 points anyway.
HL now 33-65

The HL would have had a good night if games were only 30 min long: Green Bay and UIC were up 1, CSU was within 8.
Final scores: BG 81 - GB 78 (OT) UIC 63 - NIU 69 CSU 62 Cincy 81
HL falls to 33-68 in RPI games
