Let's keep the discussion JUST about the Raiders so we can keep this thread open. Don't compare our RPI to certain other teams. Wright State's RPI is currently No. 72! That is the best I can remember since probably our NCAA Tourney team of 2006-07. Here is a good website to keep up on the RPI rankings: realtimerpi.com/college_Men_basketball_rpi2.html

Something interesting I saw while perusing the rankings. The win over Georgia Tech is not carrying our RPI as much as we might have thought. GTech's RPI is just 156.
Toledo has been our best win per the RPI (Rockets have an RPI of 118). That's followed by NKU (133) and Oakland (149).

I think after we beat GT, their RPI was about 100 less than ours ( think in the low 300's ). So, they have jumped...we have jumped.

I was worried they might not win 2 ACC games all season! Every win they get in the ACC will help us a lot. We also need to be big Toledo and Kent State fans the rest of the season.

If we would have won that Western Kentucky game we would have been close to 65 or better

I just can't fully buy-in to the fact that our RPI is so good right now (though I'm extremely pleased!). Perhaps because RPI is such a fickle thing and I know that simply even playing teams like YSU and still winning will likely still drop our RPI.

We all know how that season worked out....

We have not lost a bad game this season. Let me justify that; Western Kentucky: 43 Missouri St: 65 Loyola Chicago: 87 Miami OH: 113 Murray St: 131
Avg. RPI of opponents we have lost to: 87.8
In my opinion, that's not too bad. I think this is also helping our RPI a great deal, no "bad" losses.

If you look at our out of conference schedule for the most part we scheduled mid major competition that were winnable games. Most of our league played some big name teams and were slaughtered along with losing to quality mid majors.
Interesting Real-time has our only loss at Milwaukee before the tournament. Never seen that good of a prediction from them for us.

The HL schedule is going to drag us down even if we keep winning. RPI forecast is predicting our RPI will be 117 by years end.

Guess we will see if their prediction is correct. But for now I will be more optimistic.
