Something tells me RPIForecast and everyone else in the country for that matter predicted we wouldn't hit 62 in RPI also, so I'm gonna ride this one until the ride ends.

They are predicting we are going to win the majority of our remaining games. The problem is we play most of those games against 300+ RPI anchors that are going to drop our RPI even when we win.

Just reminder that RPI isn’t as popular an indicator of a team’s ranking as it used to be. KenPom.com for example is really the go to for many in the industry, selection committee still likes RPI but has looked into other metrics of late. We’re 143rd in KenPom kenpom.com

The HL schedule is going to drag us down even if we keep winning. RPI forecast is predicting our RPI will be 117 by years end. Way to be a buzzkill, Big D! Kidding, you are right. Even if we keep winning, we have no chance at retaining our current RPI (which is now all the way up to #61). Low-hundred sounds about right. Unless GT wins the ACC or something. LOL!

Keep in mind we still have a LOT of games to play. We needed OT to beat Oakland, NKU took us down to the wire, and UIC is finally at full strength for a trap game. It's fun to be where we are again, but let's not pop the champagne yet.

I’m not overly concerned about the RPI. I am looking forward to watching one game at a time. I will enjoy the moment and continue to be positive for this team. I will also be cheering for Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky and other teams we played out of conference to continue winning and helping us. GO RAIDERS

I know it's early in the RPI watch, but I just checked realtimerpi.com
Three teams that have been talked about on this forum lately...
#59 South Dakota State #60 Missouri State #61 Wright State
It will be interesting to see how it unfolds the rest of the year...

Even though it's not going to last (it will drop even if we beat YSU later today) it's been so much fun seeing our RPI all the way up to #61. Coach Nagy, his staff and the players deserve a lot of credit.

Maybe if the out conference teams that we beat keep winning we will keep it under a 90.

The RPI doesn’t reflect the true heart, courage and resolve of this team. Coach Nagy has been a great hire and the team reflects that. He has confidence in the players and they now have confidence in themselves and the other players.

Have the teams had RPI under 100 at same time before? I can’t remember that occurrrring. Happy with the direction each program is moving.

As a side note the HL in women's basketball is rated RPI 11th. There are 4 programs in the top 100 and CSU is just outside the top 100 (105).
