Bad weekend down in New Orleans. Tulane swept the Raiders. Raiders pitching (supposedly strength of the team) got worse deeper into the series. Series ERA was an ominous 6.66.

Raiders completely obliterated today allowing 11 runs. Swept by a Tulane team expected to finish at the bottom of the AAC.
That will take some time to recovery from for those of you looking for WSU in the polls. Not a series this team should have lost, but our pitching was well below expectations. 6 runs is typically enough to win most games.

It is a long season. However, it's all going to boil down to the HL tournament. Lots of pressure in just a few games.
The HL went 7-14 in the opening weekend. Only UIC has a winning record (3-1). WSU is the only program to go through the weekend without a "W."

I wasn't able to catch any of the games this weekend, but it sounds like pitching wasn't quite what was expected from our weekend guys. Can anyone tell me who the three starters were?

The 3 starters were as expected Weiss, Collins, and Sampen. They were not the losing pitchers ( Caleb left with a lead but wasn't as effective as the other 2 ).

They are offering a giveaway to the first 1500 fans, holy cow, this could be really tough series. Oh and the Rajin Cajuns are ranked 20th.
