Bullpen almost blew it, but there's still time....
Hendrixson pitched a 1-2-3 6th.
Got the first out in the 7th. Then hit a batter in the back. Next batter hit a line drive into right center which was originally called a hit off the top of the wall. Louisiana held their base runner at 3rd....so, 2nd & 3rd with 1 out. Then 2nd base umpire says ball didn't hit off of top of wall, but hit pine tree behind wall and bounced back in...so Home Run. 2 Runs score and Louisiana takes 4-3 lead. WSU appeals. Umpires conference. Ruled ball did hit off wall...Louisiana back to runners at 2nd and 3rd and down one.
Then....crowd and coaching staff...head coach ejected...show why they are known as the RAGIN' Cajuns...
Hendrixson got out of inning without any runs scored.
Heading to bottom of 8th...raiders up 3-2.

Good guys add one on a bases juiced walk, but unable to push any more across. 4-2, bottom 9.

Raiders win 4-3 in a game full of controversy. Two questionable home runs. one over turned, one upheld. Cajuns had the tying run on and appeared to keep the inning alive on a bobbled ball by Snyder, ruled out. Cajuns flipped a lid. Looked very close at the bag.
Raiders take the series 2-1.

Raiders win, 4-3, but after that last questionable call by the Umps Raiders need to get the heck out of town before the town torches their bus and everything else around it...

The link on the WSU baseball schedule. Took me directly to the Ragin' Cajun Digital Network.

Think they meant no Horizon League team has beaten the Ragin Cajuns in a series.

Think they meant no Horizon League team has beaten the Ragin Cajuns in a series. It was the first time since 2012 that ULL lost a series to a non-conference opponent.

To clarify it was non-conference and they also meant at their home stadium ( ULL opened at Texas and lost 2 of 3 in Austin ).
Papaz beat me to the NON-conference part of it. Very nice weekend for baseball.

I know most people didn't watch the game, but a UL reporter studied the replays of the controversial call(s).
The 2 run ball that was initially ruled a homer, then was overturned by the umpiring crew, actually was a homer. The ball hit a pine tree behind the field, and then bounced back into play. Chalk this one up as a lucky break for the Raiders.
The 9th inning homer that was, and was upheld in umpire review, actually was not a home run like originally thought. Chalk this one up as a bad break for the Raiders. Luckily, nobody was aboard.
The bang-bang play at first to end the game appears to be a simultaneous contact play, which goes to the runner. The batter was called out, and the Raiders won the game.
Let's just say we're lucky to get outta Dodge with a series victory.
But who puts pine trees behind the outfield fence? You're just looking for trouble with that. It was only a matter of time before a batter corked one into a tree, and the umpire is trying to make a call from 300 feet away.
