Raiders really need a sweep here to give themselves the best possible situation going into the final weekend of the regular season.
Milwaukee is hot on our trail and UIC is also standing in the shadows.
Mikwaukee finishes next weekend in Youngstown, we finish in Oakland, and the Flames finish at NKU.
Outcomes of today's games could have major implications in seeding with all 3 top teams finishing on the road.

We have a 2 game lead with 3 league games for all to play. (Milwaukee lost today).

You look at the top couple of teams in terms of RPI and they are just in another world compared to Raider Gang.
#2 UCLA is 41-8 with a SOS of 19 and a non-con SOS of 4
#1 Vandy is 41-10 with a SOS of 2 and a non-con SOS of 34
When you compare that to the Raiders SOS is 222 and the non-con SOS is 90. Yes, the Raiders could take a non-con game from Vandy and UCLA here and there, but they are pretty far ahead of the Raiders in talent and budget. Their success speaks for itslf. So our Raider Gang still has some room to grow. I think if the Raiders can get to Omaha, that could propel the program in terms of more talent, maybe even more financial resources.
East Carolina, the one that the Raiders beat early in the year is now sitting at #5 in the RPI with a SOS of 27 and a non-con SOS of 17.
Wright State is now at the point where they are good enough to be an exceptable loss for the big boys.
One other point of interest (at least to me) is that in DIV I games the Raiders are at a .70 winning percentage in conference games and .70 in non-conference games. You would think it would be much higher for HL games.
Finally, Wright State is 11th in the country in runs scored with 402 and 11th in runs per game with 8.0.

That's our last scheduled home Horizon League series, as we still have a series with Oakland (but I'm hearing it's doubtful that it'll be played at OU. Not sure where it'll be moved to yet.) Raiders need to win ONE game, as the Panthers and Flames can only get to nineteen wins if they sweep; Raiders win would give them 20.

I'm new to this forum and this is the first year I've followed the baseball team, so I apologize if this question is common knowledge, but why are they playing in Toledo instead of at OU?

Oakland says it is based on the weather forecast ( they aren't using the Toledo Rockets or Mud Hens field ).

They are using a field with a Field Turf surface to protect against wet weather.
