I think we will be seeing more positive energy from the faculty moving forward. 138 faculty members voted no confidence in President Edwards. You have to think most of them are the ones getting fired this summer in the faculty cuts. The faculty that is left needs to get on board with helping rebuild Wright State's reputation and enrollment. They are moron union sheep that have been led astray for the last several years by leaders of the faculty union but even they have to see the writing on the wall--get on board or you will be next. I really think the ones remaining that have been a problem are going to start getting on board.

The faculty needs to get on board to start improving the energy and work with leadership. The AAUP keep putting out this type of things as the tweet you shared even current students are seeing it. I always thought the Athletics did a great job showcasing the academics. Recognizing current faculty at Men’s games. It is time they get on board and want to see these sports to succeed to keep showing a positive light on the university. Our sports teams are succeeding with one of the smallest budgets in the conference. Hats off to them and hope things begin to turn around for the university overall.

Cash and investments increased nearly 30% between fiscal year 2017 and fiscal year 2020, as expenses and debt declined. Additional growth is expected in fiscal year 2021, and the university has no plans to borrow money in the near term.
“The ratings upgrade signals the strength of Wright State University’s future,” said Greg Sample, the university’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Moody’s has acknowledged the specific management actions being taken to stabilize the university’s operating infrastructure and position it for success in the future are moving in the right direction.”
“The announcement by Moody’s affirms the direction Wright State is heading under the strong and stable leadership of President Edwards and her team,” said Gunlock. “We are excited about what’s ahead and look forward to serving our students and the region in the years to come.”
I love it. Just one more "go screw yourself" to the faculty union who want to get rid of the board and president that just turned the university around in 4 years while also in the worst pandemic in the last 100 years.

Wright State has been able to still turn a profit the last few years even with all the negative PR around the university and the pandemic. Wright State is really positioned to turn the corner starting next year and make some real money again. Just having an appropriate sized faculty for our student body will make us much more profitable but the next big step is rebuilding our enrollment. With the pandemic slowing down I really think we will be back on the upswing.

I know others weren't as worried but this is a huge sigh of relief and great news to read!

Just another example of how clueless our faculty union is. They try to give her a vote of no confidence months ago and she picks up another reward for the job she has done.
