Congratulations boys. Conference champs, 1 seed and heading to the NIT at least if not the big tournament. Game shouldn’t have been this tough but they got it done and that’s all that matters. Again, congratulations!

Hard earned win tonight. Congratulations, Raiders! Look forward to being back in the Nutter Center Tuesday with our HL champion men’s and women’s teams. Worse case, NIT, but back to back NCAA trips sound much better

Congrats Raiders! While I think the seeding matters little in the Horizon tournament, it's a great accomplishment to be co champs and have the NIT as a backup if they don't win the league tournament.

And to think we started league play 2-3 and now we are Champs! This. Great job turning things around. Smith coming on really helped. And this should be the least deep team we have for the next few years. Make the NCAA this year and we are set up well for a nice little run. Congrats boys! |

I realize the goal is to win the tournament and go to the dance. I know there are financial benefits that are significant. but, I am less certain that we benefit from that trip except for financially. best case scenario we are a 15 seed matched up against a top 10 team and we get a 30 pt beatdown and we are lumped in with all the meac, maac etc teams. Low majors who cannot compete with the big boys.
Or we go to the nit where we get some matchups that are winnable and maybe we win a couple and end up in msg for the semis. that might be more fun and give us more experience. We go where we earn the invitation but that nit bid may be a real plus for us.
