Jim Fox is out as the head coach at Appalachian State. Fox, who reportedly has two-years left on his deal, ends his tenure with a 54-96 record. The Mountaineers finished this season 11-21 (6-12 Sun Belt).

Elon has fired men’s basketball coach Matt Matheny. In 10 years, he was 151-169 (.472) and earned Elon’s first Division I postseason berth in 2013 with a trip to the CIT tournament. Elon was 81-97 in the CAA under Matheny.

St. Joe’s has fired Phil Martelli. He was informned of the decision yesterday. The official announcement is expected today.
Martelli had been the head coach of the Hawks since 1995. In his 24 seasons, he compiled a 444-328 record. He was the 2004 Consensus National Coach of the Year and a Four-time Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year (2005, 2004, 2001, 1997). This season, the Hawks finished 14-19.
