Holden shows tremendous potential. I remember a series in the second half where he contested a shot, secured the rebound, navigated through defenders down the floor and found an open shot which he missed. The overall skill set looks impressive though; hope he sticks around. The other newcomers played well also, although Ash did not have much going tonight.
I’m glad the young guys played a lot tonight. Just wish Nagy would have taken another timeout or two and used some time to provide some teaching moments when they got squirrelly. I know that’s not his style though. Beat Miami!

Last night was just a glorified exhibition game. It was nice for our fans to finally get a chance to see the team play but I don’t think we really learned much about this team. I’m much more interested to see us play against Miami on Saturday. Playing Miami at Miami is always a good game. We will really see how good the offense and defense is against a motivated D1 team playing on their home court. We will also get a better idea how willing Nagy is to use his bench.

Agreed on all points.

Is Dozic injured? I don't remember seeing him out there last night.

It was reported earlier that he was fighting some nagging injuries. He was on the bench in street clothes.

I know we can't conclude much from last night, but it was really nice to see Hall back out there playing with some confidence.
Adding him to a much improved Potter gives us some serious weapons on the wings. If Dozic can contribute a little when he is healthy, we have much better depth at every position.
I really liked what Trey Calvin was able to do as well.
It is going to be really tough for teams to double Love with our other weapons spreading the floor.

Somebody did an absolute thundering dunk after driving the baseline. Must have been in the first half as it was the opposite end from me. My memory says it was Holden but it could have been Hall?
The defense got really ragged in the last ten minutes of the game. Possibly due to substitutions and people not knowing where they should be. One bright point to me is the way Grant played under the basket. He has enough athleticism to use his body to get the defender out of position for him to get a shot. He's strong and has some good footwork. He also doesn't do the usual big man error in putting the ball down where it can more easily be stripped.

Holden was the one that had the thunderous one hand slam. He had a lot of dunks but that first one was a WOW!
I think as things move forward, I see Tanner moving to starting lineup with Loudon, Hall, Cole and Bill. It allows to Bill to move to his natural 3 position to shoot the ball more from outside instead of going inside. Tanner has a great inside presence.
I really like Potter's game from last night. You can tell he has improved his outside shooting and gives us another outside presence but he can go inside with his leaps. He can jump out of the gym.
I hope the defense shows up soon as it was a little sloppy as Coach said.
