Of course we'd play at NKU two straight games to end the season. Not to mention 2 on the road at UIC who is the only other team in the league that probably has a shot at a regular season crown. What a shaft job.

Well getting Youngstown at home and making zero trips to Wisconsin is nice at least.

Read on release, no fans for any December HL games. So no fans for Green Bay game. See what this decision leads to in 2021.

What a shaft job. No doubt a tough draw as the season wraps up. However NKU can't be thrilled about going to Milwaukee & Green Bay in back-to-back weeks leading up to WSU in the finale.

Guys, nothing with the schedule is ever perfect especially this year. However not having to go to Wisconsin at all is huge. We rarely sweep that trip. Imagine if we went there twice and lost 3 or 4 games....that turns the standings. We do fine in NKU's building historically, and UIC has had some roster turnover. I have no complaints other then not being able to attend as many games as normal.

I’m glad to get Cleveland State and Robert Morris at home.

Listening to Coach Nagy today, he mentioned that Miami and Marshall are coming the Nutter Center in December. I’m guessing a few more games may be announced too when Bob Grant speaks on this update.

Something to keep in mind here is the other teams are going through this same thing and I’m willing to bet we’re not getting the worst. I mean, someone has to travel between Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. With the way collegiate sports (and academia itself) are being managed - whether you agree or not - and the rate at which the reason for that management is projected to grow over winter, I’m also willing to bet all the games across the league won’t be played.

Bob Grant said on tonight's season ticket holder call that not playing at Green Bay was the best win on the schedule and playing at NKU twice, while not ideal, is not nearly as a pain in the rear as it is going to Green Bay.
BG also cited that we were set to be bought by up to 4 or 5 teams during the offseason including Virginia Tech, but they backed out after watching tape and advised we call them back after Love graduated. St. Bonaventure, Maryland, and "a few big10 teams" were in talks to buy us. Sounds like will not be bought this year at all as talks currently stand.

I'm happy to hear Marshall is on the schedule. That is a program I've thought would be good to schedule a home/home with.
It looks like the programs have only played each other twice, splitting the series back in 2007/2008

We also came just as close to signing a top 10 recruiting class as we did to scheduling those games.

I heard it straight from the horse's mouth, as did many other folks on the board. For a school that's not necessarily in the best financial situation, getting bought would have made a lot of fiscal sense for us to pick up 100-110k per game, not to mention potential national exposure and potentially pulling off a big upset.

It’s directed at BG. Scheduling, like recruiting, isn’t like playing horseshoes. You don’t get credit for getting close.

The point of Grant's comments, I think, is that we have transitioned from "being bought" to 'buying". There are fewer teams that are going to be willing to buy us and those that are willing will be paying less money. there was one team that he mentioned in his comments who did offer us a buy game at a very low price. It would have been financially viable as far as expenses to get there were concerned but our chances of winning were ultimately too great for them to accept the game.
